I think you're spot on. Also, they have grown up in an age where you could swipe people left and right and you could never be sure if the one you have an eye on would be the best one you could get, or if there was something better yet to come... They're lacking a lot of life experience... Me, around 50, I have had my fair share of life experiences that would have me never vote for Donald Trump or someone even partially like him. But maybe they do not haven't made such experiences yet.

Who still uses checks? I don't, have not since, oh, 2015 or so, and most of the past couple of years was using it to pay the rent when I rented. I own my house now and it gets paid out of my debit card. I just watch my balance and make certain I don't over do it.
I'm a disabled vet American and when people say inflation is bad. I just don't see it anymore and I live in Colorado. I make less than 2k a month. I still can afford food and necessitates. Now, the only thing I really have to complain about is rent. Likely I have great wife, and she supports my disability and helps so much. I can't argue that "...Rent is a killer...", but do you think that the Trump party, and their "Project 2025" will help reduce rents anywhere, esp' where you live? I'm in generation Z, the generation of google and they're the most brain dead things ever. It's so easy to figure out that trump caused a lot of the inflation and wealth inequality they hate.
Thirty years ago, I was their age and I was so politically engaged at a time when politics wasn't trendy. I loved politics since I was a little child, my grandfather instilled the gift of systematic assistance and societal change of people through government. We would read the papers and he would involve me in election matters. These younger generations have the information right at their fingertips and still fail interest. I guess without TV and daily print media and having the choice of what you consume, Gen Z and beyond will be harder to reach.

Since the 90s, State Houses began changing from Democratic to Republican control. While education has never been a major focus, 1 thru K education truly began being underfunded. (I believe this is a concerted effort) How can we have a healthy Democracy, when we are more concerned with banning books and cutting programs and teachers are leaving the profession in droves? We churn out young people who lack basic knowledge about the world. Their critical thinking and reasoning, is at best flawed. Most big problems are complicated and require time, effort and understanding in order to find solutions. Every time public interviews, focused groups and the like are conducted, etc we are confronted with this reality.

It is alarming to witness how some voters struggle to distinguish between the two options and make the best choice for our nation. As someone with a Gen Z child who is old enough to vote in this election, I'm not shocked by this. Rationale for more basic decisions than voting is often infuriating. I think part of it is being young. Another part of it is them starting to become aware of politics during the Trump administration so his "style" is the norm. I also think that the institant gratification from social media and our internet culture has really killed their ability to think about the consequences of a decision/action beyond just the short-term.

I think you're spot on. Also, they have grown up in an age where you could swipe people left and right and you could never be sure if the one you have an eye on would be the best one you could get, or if there was something better yet to come... They're lacking a lot of life experience... Me, around 50, I have had my fair share of life experiences that would have me never vote for Donald Trump or someone even partially like him. But maybe they do not haven't made such experiences yet.
But Trump has nothing to offer so the choice should be easy. Or rather, nothing positive and no plans, just concepts of plans. And a nasty, hateful mouth. But above that, he is an insurrectionist. That should be the clincher to anyone trying to decide!

Who still uses checks? I don't, have not since, oh, 2015 or so, and most of the past couple of years was using it to pay the rent when I rented. I own my house now and it gets paid out of my debit card. I just watch my balance and make certain I don't over do it.

I'm a disabled vet American and when people say inflation is bad. I just don't see it anymore and I live in Colorado. I make less than 2k a month. I still can afford food and necessitates. Now, the only thing I really have to complain about is rent. Likely I have great wife, and she supports my disability and helps so much. Rent is the killer right now i would say for most esp in high cost living states.
And people like humpty, who years ago, refused to let apartments out to blacks, are the ones raising rents as and when they wish.
Inflation is now down to 2.4%. Not a real issue anymore.

Inflation is world wide and political leaders (of France, Germany, England, etc) have little influence on inflation in Capitalistic societies (perhaps in Cube or Iran, or Russia can strongly influence inflation- want to live there?). About the only place I've heard that has rent control is NY City. I can't argue that "...Rent is a killer...", but do you think that the Trump party, and their "Project 2025" will help reduce rents anywhere, esp' where you live? I saw, on another pro-Harris UA-cam channel that, according to the most recent polls, Kamala is only VERY marginally ahead of Trump (by maybe 1 or 2% in some places) so, if true, there’s a very real threat that Trump (and every odious idea he stands for) COULD win. I find that, as a non-American/non-voter, truly shocking and truly, truly worrying. Aside from the obvious MAGA cult mentality, I’d’ve hoped for bigger, better things from sane Americans.

Thirty years ago, I was their age and I was so politically engaged at a time when politics wasn't trendy. I loved politics since I was a little child, my grandfather instilled the gift of systematic assistance and societal change of people through government. We would read the papers and he would involve me in election matters.
These younger generations have the information right at their fingertips and still fail interest. I guess without TV and daily print media and having the choice of what you consume, Gen Z and beyond will be harder to reach.

As someone with a Gen Z child who is old enough to vote in this election, I'm not shocked by this. Rationale for more basic decisions than voting is often infuriating.
I think part of it is being young. Another part of it is them starting to become aware of politics during the Trump administration so his "style" is the norm. I also think that the institant gratification from social media and our internet culture has really killed their ability to think about the consequences of a decision/action beyond just the short-term.
