Ram Fortress - Serbia

The Ram Fortress is a 15th-century fort located on a steep slope on the right bank of the Danube in the village of Ram, which belongs to the municipality of Veliko Gradište in eastern Serbia. This fortress is considered one of the oldest military fortifications in Serbia.
The first information about the place Ram is mentioned in 1128, and the archaeological sites nearby tell us that Celts, Romans, Serbs, Turks and Hungarians lived and created history here.
Aside from its historical and archaeological significance, the Ram Fortress offers a breathtaking view of the Danube, a sight that will surely captivate any visitor. In close proximity to the fortress, you'll find the remains of a 6-century-old Turkish caravanserai, adding to the allure of the site.
The entrance fee for individual visits to the Ram Fortress is 300 dinars (equivalent to 2.55 EUR) per person. The ticket price for group visits is 200 dinars per person. The Ram Fortress is open every day from 10 am to 9 pm, except Tuesdays when it is closed.
