- The newest Australia Surf Park is well underway, with a public opening date of May 13, 2024.
The second @URBNSURF Location (first being Melbourne) has a @WavegardenOfficial Cove as their wave tech again. It's located in the Olympic Park region of Sydney, Australia.
In this deep dive from some behind the scenes filming for the day, we get to listen to excerpts of the park from management, locals, pro surfers, and more. It’s Wavegarden technology. they are all over the world. All of their pools look pretty the same. the ones in Florida are made by different people.
I went to urban surf Melbourne the wave was epic, but the boards for rent were rubbish, and the guy that worked in the board shop was a complete wanker. No customer service skills.

105 Dollar for a one hour pretty heavy price
$105 an hour?, if it was 6ft waves i would def be enticed, but 2ft? Id rather pay the rediculous price of parking in byron, $8/ hr
why go to all this trouble for a lousy wave? please compare this to Slaters wave and give me an honest assessment.
Slaters wave is def better but can only generate a wave every 2min These parks pump out a waves every 2 seconds. More commercially viable.
The Slaters wave isn't even open to the public and if it was it would be thousands per hour.
@@coolhandluke5900, it pumps out waves that get progressively worse after the first. That is why every single promotional video for this tech has a dead still tub (many, many minutes of waiting) and then a single wave.

Great way to pollute more and to put the surf at the level of soccer.
Doesnt look feasable, maybe for elite, engineering wise must be hard.
cost wow could surf the best real waves cheaper. not for the average joe
