HELLO THERE:
We are Joe and Liisu, full-time travelers from Estonia on a mission to break stereotypes, show diverse cultures and wander in the magical nature. Joe, a seasoned traveler of 8 years, began his journey while working in Australia, New Zealand and Canada (holding over 25 different jobs). Liisu, a former medical doctor, joined the adventure 2 years ago. Now we live on the road, exploring the world either from our backpacks or in a van.
While I am new to your channel, I hate clickbait😮
Me too!

Ah, my young Viking Friends, how sorry I am to see you and Freyja part ways with each other but, I am very excited for the travels you will continue to experience!!! Mongolia looks like an Amazing adventure, in fact a very good friend and former co-worker was in Mongolia just a few years ago to film a documentary on horses, a film and a journey that took him to several countries and gave him a fantastic adventure!! I hope you find the same magic as you explore the remarkable country of Mongolia. In fact wherever you find yourselves I hope you also find kind hearts and open minds that let you see that area as it should be seen, not how it is portrayed. I will of course continue to watch and be fascinated with your travels and experiences!! - Love from your Broken Viking Friend in Canada!
Everything was going well and then.... Liisu turned up! 🤣Ah, come on man, only joking! You two are made for each other! Two beautiful people living the life, exploring the world! I wish you love, life and freedom, forever!
Haha :D thank you!
The title scared me too like many others thinking it is about you guys splitting. Basically, you wanted to change the mode of travel a bit for now, which is quite understandable. You might go back to Van-life later, perhaps with a more comphy van. I am looking forward to watching your quality vlogs, keep up the very good job, please.
Danke für dir für alles.
Wir Türken Lieben dich weil du ehrlich und simpel bist.
Hauptsache Mensch sowie du.
Machs gut bleibt gesund.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

How exciting! Cant wait to see you next adventures, Freyja was a great companion all this time. Thank you guys
Who is Freyia?
Freyja is the car :)
... nice spirits , like me 35 years ago ... 😊😊😊 ... i dont regret one second from that life , one dollar to sleep in bangkok kao sarn road , half to camping in brasil ... music and festivals , ... those things keep me young forever !!! cheers , love your stories !!! 😀😀😀
I can honestly say you are living the life! These memories can never be taken away from you and the stories sound like a gem!
Wonderful video! I laughed, I smiled and definitely teared up! As a fellow nomad - but a LOT older - I'm confident your journey will continue and be awesome!
My big tip is to get a credit card that gives you Prioity Pass so you have free access to airport lounges. Really helps cushion the time time you spend at airports!
Live well and be happy!
I hope you come again to Mersin and Çankırı, and see those highschool students and grandmas again, the video with the turkish grandmas was the most cozy and warm travel video ive ever watched🥺
Van life is hard but as you discovered also full of great moments and insights... Living and traveling with animals is a whole new level.
Honestly i dunno how much ready could you be and i suspect not as much as you might think. The time spent learning to ride an horse will be next to nothing compared to the time you'll need to know, respect and deserve the trust of a non human animal. As you display some big discomfort when facing the most wild/rude aspects of human behaviours is sure as the setting sun that you are far from that achievement.
Expect the worst moments of your life, you'll need a shitload of patience and it will never be enough anyway in some situation. On the other hand as always when someone face incredible challenges, expect also the best gratifications you could ever get if you'll menage to actually bound with your non-human companions.
Remember they are not veicles, they have a brain full of emotions and thoughts just like us and in most case with a van if it broke you can fix it. If an animal broke up you can easly end with him/her dead and/or mauling you to death.
I wish you best luck with your project!
Beautiful video and wonderful story telling - cant wait to see you next adventures - sending love from us x
thank you for the kind words guys! we send our best for the last stretch of your journey!

It's been a Fantastic Journey so far and Thanks for taking us along 😊

Stay Free and Safe Travels 😀 🙏 ✨
Thank you Mike! We'll think about the gypsy wagon :D
Beautiful story and I so love your videos! I am really looking forward to your next chapters!
Great video. Thank you for sharing and good luck on the next adventure.
Lovely idea to go to MOngolia and discover it on horse as the great nomad civilization they were for centuries! BTW: you could have taken Frejya to American continent and travelled with it from Canada, to Patagonia (yes you would have needed to put it in a boar twice, but you would also have loved it)
Heyhey.
We are planning to buy a new vehicle in the americas. Shipping it twice just would not have been financially smart move
Love to you both from Belmont Shore California....May your journey continue in health and happiness.
Sheer awesomeness! So glad the two of you will continue creating brilliance in your lives and for us, enjoying the amazing places and experiences you're sharing with us. Thank you, and have a beautiful summer. See you in Mongolia ~
Good luck joe & lisu, safe travels always prayers
So glad your both back ❤
Even I'm going to miss Freya!!
We'll find another way to adventure together with you, Damon!
What an incredible journey you guys had… I really enjoyed watching you guys. All the best in Mongolia 🇲🇳.
I loved the wind up, you totally fooled me.
I am certainly looking forward to your Mongolian adventure - enjoy and take care, its not a country for risk takers.
Love you kids! Safe travels. ❤
Love you guys! Cannot wait for the next adventure!
Hi! I just discovered your channel and I love that yellow poncho Liiisu wears. I didn't see that in the gear list. Can you tell me where you got it?
Heyhey 😁
We bought it few years ago from a small market in the mountains of Peru. So sadly I don't really know if it is also possible to order somwhere or do you actually have to go there yourself 😅.
Hope it helps a little 🫠
awww this one got me crying 😭 I didn't realize I'd get emotional over a van 😂
Thank you for the support! We got emotional making this video as well
Good luck❤
I wanna propose friendship to Freyja! Where is it now?
Hey.
We sold her about a week ago.
And i think she is heading to southern Europe by now 😅
i feel clickbaited but also relieved at the same time ^^ call me conflicted :D
setting up for a 2 week bicycle trip, sleeping in nature, going where the wind takes me ^^ yes... the wind, its a vacation not a stuggle, if the wind blows to the west that is where im going that day ^^ last time i ended up sleeping on a ww1 battlefield near the Somme.... which was an experience on itself :P
Wow have fun! You are going to be biking and sleeping in the nature same as we will! Lovely memories
You should write a book now!
Looking forward
Amazing I’m so excited! Forever Dream of mine to visit Mongolia! 🇲🇳 ❤
All the best!
You are such a great story teller! I’m so curious about Mongolia
Take care have fun
Freedom at its best
Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
Thank you so much, Sabrina!
I wasn't sure I wanted to watch this one because of the title. I was happy to see that you adventures will continue, but it was sad to see Freyia was no longer going to be on your journey's. I look forward to seeing you and Lissu going to Mongolia.
It is all good! Freyja will have another owner and new adventures!
I just found your channel. I look forward to watching your travels together!🙂
Congratulations on successfully fooling me!

I was fooled by the title, haha! 😂
Have a great time in Mongolia and all the best!
There is a reason why God didn’t let you go to China. You are good people!
There are many Internet celebrities who have lost themselves there and sold their souls!
Thank you Gianni! It is great to have you traveling with us and sorry for fooling you!
@@WildVikingTravels Please don’t worry, I’m happy you fooled me and I’m happy you both keep traveling!
I believe that now you two can travel more freely around the world, and I look forward to seeing you in Taiwan!
BTW, I didn’t know until now that I successfully uploaded my comments twice, and that was UA-cam’s problem, not me!
If this causes any trouble, please forgive! Take good care! Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏
I just found your UA-cam videos wow it is all amazing and incredible and very interesting thank you 😊
Man that title scared me! lol
oh you talking about the car ? for a moment I thought you and Liisu broke up xD maaan scared us.
Oh boy! It was so hard not to skip forward or check the comments. Nicely done and really looking forward to your Mongolia adventure.
Freiya is welcome to share a home here with me in California till you get back to her.
Thank you! Maybe we'll buy a new van in the States in the next few years ;)
So you didn't split up, that's good. Don't let her go Joe. And at some point, when the time is right, settle down. Good luck to you both.
❤❤❤
New subscriber..hello from IRELAND 🇮🇪
Welcome!!
I cursed you a lot because of your title. forgive me 😄I am happy you are still together
Sorry, my friend! It is all good! :D
@@WildVikingTravels Ah you mate. Be always happy and come back to Türkiye soon again
I don’t like these kind of banners. They kinda make me mad and feel like MSM🤣 Moving on
What's the song at 5:28? I really liked it
@@alanrhyason Ty man, I'll use it from now on haha
Saya dari Indonesia dan saya Islam...saya salah seorang pengikut anda. Coba anda datang ke negara saya, Indonesia insyaallah anda akan bersyahadat
As other people said: truly great and captivating storytelling. I enjoyed every second of this video.
When I was in Mongolia, I met two people from Chile who were exploring the country by motorbike. Given the fact that Mongolia has barely any paved roads, it was a great way to discover this amazing country. But I bet it is even more adventurous to do this by horse
Almost i had a heart attack 😇 😂
What do you mean, "Russia - too dangerous"?! It is one of the safest countries, certainly *the* safest in Europe right now!
The country is literally being invaded as we speak 😅
@@WildVikingTravelsnah, as long as you don't hang out in the western border regions currently under attack, you won't even notice. Just enter from the Asian side, and Bob's your uncle. Russia is still *the* largest country in the world, the rest of the country remains unmolested. And soon all this will be over anyway.
I would ignore saying Russia is dangerous from a regular person, but a seasoned traveler who claims to spend years breaking stereotypes?!! Nope! That’s just incorrect and misinformed.
I wouldn't be so hasty about judging people's sense of security. Estonia-Russia relationship at the moment is tense, there have been kidnappings and Estonians going missing on the territory of Russia. It just isn't as safe to venture around in Russia for everybody but in particular with an Estonian passport due to long political tensions. It might be different for example Turkish passport holder but it's all about perspective as the world is not black and white.
Yay!...horses!!!
When ye comes back to India, get yrselves a TONGA...horse n cart...I ve been pricing them at about rs20,000-rs30,000...I'm pretty sure there still be some back roads that Modi hasn't perfected for the car...and we need to preserve them...bring back horse culture !
That sounds crazy enough that it might be right down our alley for the future :D
Goodbye
SHUT UP!!! A horse? Seriously? I have ridden horses all over the world! South Africa, India, Central America, Europe, North Africa, Middle East! Oh my goodness, I hope you are ready!!! This is going to be exciting!!!! 🙂
Sound lovely 😍
Oh wow, any tips for us newbies? :D :D
@@WildVikingTravels Yes, remember that a horse is like a motorbike with a brain all of its own! You may think you are turning left but, the horse may decide differently! 🤣🤣
How exciting 🎉🎉🎉😊
I'm crying for a car... ok well 🥰
Hi Joe,
I've got family in Estonia, part that immigrated to Sweden to escape from Russia and part stayed and got trapped by Russia. I'm Norwegian-American living in France. My family in Norway ("Paus") is related to the King. I traveled to India and Tibet in the early 70-80s and learnt Tibetan at Paris Unversity for five years, INALCO institute. You said Liisu kept up her meditation practice after doing the retreat in India. I studied the Kalachakra text of the Ngorpa School for many years and thanks to that, finally I found the hidden secret land of Shambhala. I think it'll interest both Liisu and you Joe, because it talks about all religions being peaceful with each other and stopping all the extremist and violent ones from prospering. It means being tough with the tough ones.
Idk why leaving behind freya is like losing a part of me😢😂
Part of us as well :(
Earth is not a Planet!
Omg I thought you guys broke up… it was all the time just two of you. A Car/ House is not a living thing.
Joe, I've been following you for some years now, and I kind of am disappointed of how you chose to deflect the story. We understand things are not what they seem, but what you presented right now, in your specific dramatic way, is significantly different than what you chose to share before, after a very public display of your former relationship, travels and break-up. You chose to shift the story a lot, even put your ex in a bad light... or maybe you lied in the breakup video, some years ago (you know that better that we do). I wish you all the best, but please do not forget that some of us remember things, and deciding to choose your narrative for dramatic purposes might have a bad effect on people. We don't get to decide your personal life, nor is that the reason we follow this type of channel, but we expect honesty, not just clickbaits. Sometimes it's not only about shocking your viewers, but about showing honesty. At least that was something I valued in this channel so far, as compared to all the thousands of other travel vloggers
Sorry you got that impression from this video and it left a bad taste in your mouth. I started traveling 9 years ago and haven't shared any details about my first break-up here before. The incident explained in this video was a catapult and the very reason to start my travels. It all happened years before meeting Miina (as I see you're familiar with the previous break-up story), so I think we're really talking about different points in time here which really shouldn't be mixed up for clarity's sake. Hope this clears it up a little.
(So in short the break up in this video is not about Miina, it's another woman before her and I left Miina out of this video on purpose (about 1 year cap in the story) since she does not want to be shown or talked about on this channel anymore)
I only discovered your channel about 6 months and never miss a video. From what I know about the two of you I thought it was obvious you was referring to fraya. Looking forward to watching the next chapter.
Great video as always, brought back memories of me and my van at Cappadocia. Good times
@@WildVikingTravels Thanks for clearing that out and for replying. Sorry, it seems I misunderstood your words. I thought you were referring to Miina, whom I personally cared for a lot and I was very sad when you two decided to part ways (I know life is not always what you want it to be). I did not want to meddle in your personal life, I assure you. I was talking about the video you shared the break up news and, now, seeing, this I really thought you were changing the narrative. I'm very happy I wasn't right and I wish you the best of luck, to you both! :)
Read QURAN WITH OPEN MIND
Why do you think Russia is unsafe
Estonia-Russia relationship at the moment is tense, there have been kidnappings and Estonians going missing on the territory of Russia. Mostly because of the Ukraine-Russia war. It just isn't as safe to venture around in Russia for everybody but in particular with an Estonian passport due to long political tensions. It might be different for example Turkish passport holder but it's all about perspective.
Just clickbait - sorry....
It’s a little petty to shit on your ex. She’s a person too, with a life, and has her own story. Shame. You could have been more sensitive with your narrative. Shading your ex didn’t cause me to see you as a victim, but rather, a bit bitter. How does casting negativity against another person help you promote your following?
Misunderstanding? They sold the car and did not end their relationship with one another.
@@PeterAsenbauer I am referring to his comments about how quickly she married after they broke up, and how she failed at the marriage or how the marriage failed. It’s not necessary to say those things that’s her business not his. What an ex does after a breakup is no longer his to comment on.
@@debracook8859unless children are involved.
@debracook8859 and nobody asked your opinion.
Shuttup you Karen idioet.
I knew from the start it would be the van. 🥲 As someone with anthropomorphism, this wasn't an easy video. I hoped you would park her somewhere and then return to her. Bye Freyja, I hope your new family will be cool. ♥
Thank you! We considered parking her and continuing in the future but realised cars don't really like standing around and collecting rust (especially here in Estonia with rough winters). And as shipping her to Americas would be too expensive, Africa is not a good idea without 4x4 and in the near future we don't see the war ending between Ukraine-Russia, so there isn't options to get to Central Asia as well. With heavy hearts, we decided to let her take someone else to adventures...
@@WildVikingTravels ye, I understand. After all it is just a machine. 😅 gl on your new adventures. 😎🥰
