@@CoryPelizzari Agreed. Jaeger uniquely has a (good) vocal library and some epic perc. Nucleus uniquely has solo instruments, woodwinds, orchestral perc, a (great) choir, and a (decent) harp. 1:04 That means if I already got Jaeger, Nucleus offers: - Pizzicato for all 4 strings - Woodwind sections - 4 traditional tonal percussion - Choir sections - 6 soloists
I have and like Jaeger and Nucleus. What I don't at all like is that I'm effectively storing duplicates of patches across the two libraries, since the NKX files don't show which instrument is which and I therefore can't delete some to save space. People say "storage is cheap," but I don't love the idea of buying an extra SSD when some basic cleanup should have done the trick, were it actually possible. Many others, like Spitfire Audio's Albion libraries, at least separate out perc vs high strings vs low strings (and so on).
AGREED. Just bought Nucleus. Like… why can’t we just consolidate the patches somehow? Like use one patch for both libraries or just have Nucleus borrowing the Jaeger vocal and perc (so it just lets you delete the redundant patches you already have in Nucleus). Needlessly using up storage for no reason!
I don't know how you possibly figured out all of this overlap. I can only imagine a giant scratch sheet of a notebook with different colored lines drawn all over the place to figure this out. I don't actually own any of the Audio Imperia libraries, but I do think they sound pretty decent.
Ah, you brought this up at the end: Am I the only one who finds this a little shady? At the very least this should be properly advertised until they do I feel very hesitant buying anything from them.
I bought Areia during the intro sale for $299 and then a few weeks later I picked up the NKS bundle which contained Jaeger, Talos, Cerberus, Legacy and Trailer Guitars 2 for 399€. Hindsight is 20-20, so had I know this info I probably would have just gone for Nucleus during the same sale and I would have spent $299. So, I have spent quite a bit more than I needed to, but I am certainly happy that I started to hear about this overlap a few months ago, because if not I would have picked up Nucleus during the winter sale. Dodged a bullet there. Well, now all I need are some woodwinds, so I might go with CSW, although I think I'll wait for an update thanks to you, Cory. Thanks again for looking out for us and showing off all these libraries and essentially doing the best "try before you buy" on the net.
Oh wow I was looking for that, thank you so much for going so in detail of which libraries overlap with others I want to go with Areia and potentially upgrade to nucleus, but I have no idea if that crossgrade is possible, I'll ask them as you said but if anyone knows please let me know Also one last question, I've seen a similar library that when on sale is 100$ from output called Analog Strings, do they compare with that? like if you take the clean preset of analog strings versus Areia's strings
@@CoryPelizzari I love some of their products... but you have to be even more careful with them, to make sure you aren't accidentally "ripping yourself off". Pretty awful disregard for customers.
Especially with all their slightly different names, the overview is completely lost and jeopardy. Century Series, Artisan Series, Legendary Series, Legion Series... come on sometimes I do not get through again if it is overlapping or not...

thanx Cory, did'nt know about these overlaps, this should'nt exist, only from the light versions should there be an overlap to the full versions, not between different libraries,i was considering buying areia, but already have jeager,so i already have a lot of content from areia, therefore i wont buy it,also have cerberus, talos,TG II,and legacy,so with these i have the majority of articulations from the other ones i dont have

Wow such a hugely informative video that's greatly needed. Never seen a sample library company reuse so much stuff between libraries.
Spitfire have done this in the past, as well.
Honestly it’s very annoying. Should’ve just put everything in Nucleus and called it a day.
To sum up: if you buy Jaeger you already own 80% of Audio Imperia libraries. Holy crap!
Yup.
But jaeger doesn’t have woodwinds correct?
@@antkn33 No, only the brass and strings. Technically Nucleus is the biggest bang for buck when comparing the two.

Wow I finally have real pizzicato now? YES. The lack of pizzicato in Jaeger was pissing me off. Sweet.
Nucleus definitely has a lot more to offer.
but you're happy with your unique brass articulations, right?

Yes, how DID he figure it out.....Seems like a difficult task unless he scanned the files using a duplicate file scanner.
Now we need a review of Nucleus though...
In time...
Legendary content right there. Thanks for that...nearly bought the whole company 😂
Lol
Haha 😂
They could apply a component based pricing system which us used to calculate product pricing and upgrade pricing.
Great. Do you have an excel spreadsheet listing this? ;-)
Now we got the new solo library too
Ah, you brought this up at the end:
Am I the only one who finds this a little shady?
At the very least this should be properly advertised until they do I feel very hesitant buying anything from them.
It is not only shady, but rather incompetent way to make anything, without a doubt.
Very shady. They should at least offer trials, so we can see what’s what before we make expansive purchases. Very bad look.
So Nucleus' woodwinds don't have any overlap? I see Fluid Woods as a separate woodwind library, but they seem to only be staccato.
I am confusion

The trumpets in Jaeger and Nucleus don't sound like they share the same samples...
Nope. The brass is definitely a bit different.
never thought that repackaging products could be this profitable
It’s honestly bs. I thought spitfire was bad (with their expansion bs). But this is a whole different level of just straight up bs

Yup.

so...what is the best combo? Nucleus + Solo?
but they discount for the upgrade no?
8Dio does the same thing... A LOT. Especially if you're talking about the V8P range vs the regularly purchasable ranges.
V8P's a joke. To me they'll always be H8Dio.

When you say “you also bought” does that mean I can already get those for free?!
He’s saying that if you get stuff from this seller, you could be buying something that you already own. They reuse samples
