Zakynthos Greece: Shipwreck Beach and Blue Caves Review Renting a motor boat self guided tour

Zakynthos Island, famous Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Caves. Certainly in high season best viewed if you rent a small motor boat. Cost including gas about 200.00eu. If you use less gas cost is less. The boats are easy to operate. I got a 5 minute lesson and off we went. We're here mid July, high season, so things were quite busy. Shipwreck beach is cool but there are so many boats they actually block the beach views. There are so many people you don't even want to go on the beach. However with our own boat we took our time and found somewhat private beaches and coves. I think it's a great option. The Blue Caves are not spectacular. They are small and difficult to access. Personally this area is oversold and underwhelms. A private boat makes it manageable.
