I ordered that Tundra in May 21, with the dual exhaust. 3 days later, I got a call saying the order would not be fulfilled. Orders had closed for 2021. Wound up buying a 21 Limited right across 37 from where you shot this. In July 21, I had my Limited at the other the dealer for service, and there was my black 1794 sitting on their lawn. It had been built after all. That was a heartbreaker!!
You're correct about the 21's popping up on dealerships' lots with leases being up! Got my 21 Tundra Crewmax SR5 in Army green with 30K miles for $43.5K about six weeks ago. Awesome truck!
Im on my second tundra. My first was a 2014 1794 that I bought in 2018. It got totaled in a wreck unfortunately. I walked away without a scratch. While I liked the 1794 interior, it was alot of saddle brown for my taste. I currently own a 2021 Platinum and much prefer the black interior. Has all the bells and whistles one really needs.
I've been eying the 2021 lease returns since November, I think they are the best buy however $50,000+ is a bit strong even for this truck. I want a 2021 Crew Max Limited w/off road, Cement gray with gray interior with fewer than 50K miles. They generally run between $35,000-$45,000.
My 2016 1794 was my dream truck. She just rolled over 51k after getting her used in 17 with 21k miles from a Carmax. Actually came with upgraded sound system with the addition of a OEM+ subwoofer behind the rear seat, want to upgrade to the dual sub box they have now. (OEM+ is the brand) Was not a TRD but is now minus the front roll bar. Headlight Revolution light bar inside the hood bulge is amazing on rural roads, LED upgrades to the 3rd brake light/bed lights & tail lights, might do the head light LED upgrade this birthday. Have LED HID bulbs in her right now and they work plenty good. Driver side Oh Sh1t handle from Sparks was one of the first upgrades I did. About the only upgrade I have not made yet is the supercharger for obvious reasons. Would like to put TBM brakes in it too but they don't make em for Tundras lol. Just have to sell 12k copies of my music albums to afford the supercharger & the install. Honestly just want for the sound, superchargers just sound amazing & I think my Tundra deserves to sound that cool.
Buying mine out in a month. 32k for a SR5 sport with 26k miles. Leased it because I wasn't sure where things were going. Glad I have the option to buy it out now.
That's an extremely desirable trim. My wife and I just bought two of these between October and February. Hers is the 1794 TRd and mine is 1794 but only the dual exhaust from the TRD. Both are phenomenal trucks
I would love to have that Edition! I have a 2016 SR5 that was pretty basic when I got it a year ago. I’ve customized it since then. That Tundra won’t last long on that Chevy lot.
Literally can't get enough 2nd gen content. Unfortunately there's not much new content left on UA-cam. But @TundraDude34 is unmatched in quality content on all tundras.
Nice truck, no way it’s worth $50K. $35-40 max. But I’m good. I have a 2015 Limited with TRD PRO suspension and exhaust. Beach, camping trips and hunting. Only problem I’ve had is the back up sonar stopped working twice. No issues in 138K miles. In my opinion the new ones look cheap.
Mark, negotiating w/ one of our local dealers here today, ‘21 SR5, white w/ TSS package w/ 20” black wheels, leather, segmented fold bed cover, 38 gal tank. 10K miles on it they came down to 48K. Was trying to get them lower to 47,500 and an out-of-stater swooped in and bought it out from under me😂. This was the cleanest used truck I’ve ever seen. Dagger man, but I’ll keep on looking. Really wanted a higher trim anyway, but w/ 10K miles, felt it was worth it. Your video is timely tonight - thank you!!
Prestige Toyota Of Ramsey in North Jersey has a Cavalry blue 2nd gen TRD Sport. I don't think it will be there for long. Head up there if you want to see it before it's gone. I could send you videos but I don't think I'll stop by.
Would love to see you get another 2nd gen and do some mods to it, back in the day you mentioned doing some headers along with exhaust, maybe compare some different aftermarket shock set ups and give ride impressions after install like changes in handling, body roll, etc. similar to when you were building your Platinum Pro but different
I miss my 2019 Tundra Platinum. Because of physical limitations I had to get rid of it. With the insane pricing on both new and used trucks, I am priced out of the market. $50 for a three year old truck is just off the wall crazy.
@@JokerG16 I am checking out other midsize trucks. I am finding it hard to justify paying $45k to $55K for a Takoma. Plus, I'm skeptical of the new drivetrain. I am not fond of turbos. My alternative (other than Toyota) would be the naturally aspirated V6 in the Nissan Frontier
@@rlthomas69 yeah that’s where i was going with that question. i was going to suggest the Frontier because depending on what you’re looking for, you can get one for like $35k-$40k OTD. i’m not a fan of the new Tacoma’s powertrain or price either
It won’t be long until we see used new generation models sitting on the lots and the second generation taking back the road because of their reliability
Mr Tundradude33 much respect I own 2008 toyota sequoia limited love it you should do some videos on the sequoias also it would be much enjoy my opinion be blessed 🙌
I saw a post about a 2024 having an issue and then everyone started saying all 2024 Tundras are failing. I don’t like to report on misinformation, so i’ll wait to see whats really going on. Is it a few or a large number. If we see Toyota react with a TSB, Recall or Stop sale, we will know what we have. My guess is that its a very small failure rate with a doom and gloom reaction
Price is too high......it's a 'USED' truck ! A 3 year old, almost 4 years old; used truck. This truck , when new, sold for not much more than the price on listing on this truck. They can keep it, or sell it to some 'sucker'
It was purchased by a viewer the next day. This Tundra sticker’d between 57-59k. Because i care, i went back into my lot walk videos from 2020 and 2021 to get some pricing for you. Just know i love ya 😁
@@TundraDude34 Right, I know Lakewood Toyota is pushing the tundras by offering 5k off for well qualified buyers. Even then though, getting an sr-5 in the new gen you’ll have most if not more tech than the last gen tundras.
Love it. I wish they made it with a double cab. Screw the car play and sensor stuff. Leather DC 1794 with sunroof would have flew off lots. Crew max are a waste.
Everything about this truck is awsome.. but I don't know how anyone could like the second gen 1794 interior coloring. You couldn't pay me to drive that thing lol.
Everything is fine, except in the front. From the bottom of the grill down around to wheel wells need to be completely redesigned. The stupid fu manchu mustache look that goes down into the bumper and it's so low- it looks like the bumper is dragging the ground.

Who the F traded a Tundra for a Chevy??
Rather have a 5.7 Hemi vs the 3urfe vs a crapoy plastic twin turbo v6 full of plastic even the thermostat housing is plastic.🤷🏻♂️

Excited my f150 is getting swapped in for a tundra in the next 6 months. Leaving tundras for the f150 was the dumbest damn thing I have done in years
Swap it for a low mileage 2021 Tundra and keep it for 30 years.
