Like many other comments, Jim just seems more comfortable being Jim now vs earlier interviews where he seemed to struggle with what he thought people wanted him to be. Meghan does a great job of letting the conversation flow vs many mainstream sports interviewers that have their list of questions that must be asked often to the detriment of the interview. With hindsight it does seem that the injury prevented him from overtraining and his best run was on the day that mattered. The WSER legend grows. Can’t wait for UTMB.
So proud of him...What would it be like to run like Jim for a day? I wish him many days of feeling good and staying healthy while flying on his feet. Great Job Jim...say HI to the cowboys! Take care all.
Well earned victory. Best of luck at the UTMB. As much as I would like to see you win the race, I like the fact that the europeans has been able to keep the U.S. runners off the top of the podium.
I don’t know how people perform in that kind of heat. Anything over 70 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny for me and I don’t perform my best. Hat off to this guy x 1,000,000
That was a great interview. Thanks. The finish line stuff is a nice gesture, but there is just too much going on in the background for me to watch any longer than the time it takes to be reminded that there is too much going on in the background.
Traditionally, we interview both the men's and women's podium finishers as well as one additional bonus man and woman from the top ten who we've never interviewed... or at least haven't in quite a long time. - Bryon
@@iRunFarMedia thanks for the reply. I just imagined it would have made for an interesting interview considering the race he ran, it being his first wser, first 100 miler, bombed out hard and still finished strong. Was just interested to hear what he had to say about his race. Great work on the coverage! Looking forward to next year
I love how thoughtful and honest Jim is here. He’s a credit to the sport
He seems wiser and more … I guess “enlightened “ is the word that comes to mind. Such an inspiring person!
Great interview
No one is on his level right now... beast mode
Jim’s mental health story is so inspiring. He seems to truly grown into his own.

Huh, Jim seems much more comfortable than in years past.
Someone needs to write a folk song called The Legend of Bucket Hat Jim!!
Here for this comment and the song! -Meghan
Walmsley is doing UTMB this year, oh yes!
Gee, how he has grown. In every aspect. Wonderful to watch. What a champion.
Jim is such & awesome guy & athlete 🙏🏼
The whole interview just leaves you with a warm feeling and inspiration. He’s a legend for sure.
Seems so relaxed and happy here. Great to see. Congrats champ. Thanks irunfar for the great work this weekend.
Such a gifted athlete and runner! Love this guy!
Great interview! Good to see Jim happy!

I love Megan’s interviews, especially with Jim. She’s almost like his therapist at the end, like, “Jim, take it easy now, enjoy yourself man”.
Jim is a true gentleman and athlete. World class
So chilled Jim. He´ll be back next year, I am sure :)
Way to go Jim! Smart race!!
Respect for the man. 👊🏻
Congratulations Jim
He's overcame a lot in his life and it shows. Good for him!

Ice, ice baby!
training, training, and more training in the heat
🐐
Thanks
Impossible! Dude looks freakishly younger and wiser than the last time I saw him.
his bucket hat in the race was elite
Bucket hat for the win! Great job, Jim!!!👏👏👏
Damn super hero
He’s learned the ways of the women of states with the ice down the shirt. Poured ice down many sports bras at aid stations
Excuse me sir.. Jim, you made that look WAY TOO easy.... Come on guy.
💪🏻💪🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Humble HOKA "Champ"!

bucket hat
He reminds me a bit to Scott Jurek
Why wasn't there a Hayden Hawks interview??
I think they usually interview people that finished close to the front.
iRunFar tends to only interview the top five at WS
Because he tried to keep pace with Jim and imploded, I guess.

jim be running in silverton Co for hardrock?
Jim's not in this year's Hardrock. He's trained in Silverton for parts of several summers. - Bryon
Jim is not running Hardrock. But Courtney is running Hardrock!!!
Can’t wait to see him in the San Juan Mountains!!
Has anyone stopped to consider there will be fewer and fewer cool years and the heat level is only going to increase from here?
LOL at people thinking that type of hat is a new/novel thing. Cricket players have been wearing them for over 50 years!
Yeah but no one cares about cricket except people with yellow teeth
It's pretty new for running i think.
@@goodluck2522 I don't care for cricket myself, but it is the second most popular sport in the world!
@@goodluck2522 LOL - Insecure much
50 cent has been wearing them forever.

One of the weirdest interviewers....
