That's so cool. I wish we could have more of these rig rundowns. I find them extremely informative and inspiring. Even though music has changed in the last decade, it's cool to see REAL instruments still being used on tours. Also worth mentioning is that fact that we get to look past the scripted reviews and brand-driven jibber-jabber on UA-cam and get to the guts - what ACTUALLY makes the tour, what's rugged enough and sounds great no matter the situation. And that to me, is why I personally would love to see more of these videos. I still watch the Billy Joel keyboard rig series to this day because of how much there is to learn. I understand how difficult it may be to get access to the behind-the-scenes stuff, but man, it sure pays off in value. Thank you, KeyboardMagazine. You guys are the best!

Brent Tauro I totally agree that Sentiment. The Billy Joel keyboard rig guy(his name escapes me at the moment)
was really resourceful with what he used, the redundancy he had built into the system. It’s influenced my thoughts on gear selection to this day. I’ve been down with Keyboard Magazine since back in the day when you guys would cover Thomas Dolby Nick Rhodes, That Don Henley album that was such a breakthrough in Pop music at the time, The Jacksons tour, Teddy Riley, I could go on for days with all that I learned from you guys. Thanks for all that you’ve done over the years there is guys out here who really appreciate it. 💯👌👏🏾🙏🏾

i like these videos too. It's incredible the amount of equipment that is on tour for these big shows and how it's all linked together. Kronos and Hammond is a great setup. I've played an 88 Kronos with a Hammond XK-5 running through a Leslie 3300. Was a lot to set up, but it was amazing.

Loren is great! A really nice guy too. My wife and I have seen him with the Who and Roger Daltry several times. Can't wait to see them all this coming Tuesday here in Toronto! It's gonna be great!
2 Kronos' too! And why not? It is teh best keyboard out there! It's what I play too!

Was Loren one of the keyboard players in 1991 when Roger appeared solo at Royal Albert Hall? One of them had a digital piano facing Simon Phillips’ drums and a B3 organ (with a built-in lever for wah-wah effects) facing the audience. The other keyboardist had two synthesizers in a rack.

Backup Kronos needed in case it goes down. Great sounds but the Kronos is known to fail without warning.

Yeah. Why not demo any sounds? Seems kinda pointless.
