It's a shame Ellis keeps ending up 3rd wheel to these things. That man has a rythm in his soul and knows how to use it. he just needs to take a few steps twards a more party oriented scene because his style and the crowd he is in don't match, It's like throwing a magical neon orange stripe on a piece of Beautiful oak wood furniture. sure they might both look amazing seperately but together they seem at odds.
i know its 5 years later but i saw your comments on another video. I wonder if you still feel the same. You sound like a huge fan which is great. The man is a huge talent and i think he should be celebrated. However playing 3rd wheel to the roots (as you put it) is nothing to be sniffed at. They already have two percussionists so I'm sure fitting him into the act wasnt easy. Big up to Jeremy ....Roots crew and all the hip hop fans!
Nik L ...and the ones after that are MFSB - "TSOP (The Sound Of Philadelphia)" ua-cam.com/video/ligIq6o0rUU/v-deo.html and James Brown - "I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing" ua-cam.com/video/aRclVQvidxg/v-deo.html

Yeah he needs to be at raves and partys and what not. The roots audience seems to be more middle aged. 18-30 yr olds would probably go nuts for this shit.
Thanks for the upload! God bless you brother 🙏 ! GREAT Music that hit the soul ! October 2021
Seen The Roots crew and Jeremy Ellis in Amsterdam last week, awesome performers!

Does anyone know the song after Poison at around 15:14?
Nik L Pretty sure it’s “Ain't Not Stopping Us Now” by either Luther Vandross or McFadden & Whitehead
Nik L Yeah Aaron C-T, definitely Philly's own McFadden & Whitehead ua-cam.com/video/CJTxnxXUMA0/v-deo.html

Does anyone know the first song ???????
thanks
What's the name of the first Track?
Is Jeremy using the Maschine Software or something else?
Maschine software can't handle 2 Maschine's at the same time, so he's definitely using a DAW of some sort. I think it might be Reason.
+Strofik Thanks. I was thinking of Ableton :)
+Strofik He has an interview here on UA-cam where he explains his whole set up.
