- This is probably one of the more iconic moments of Revelations: Persona's localization.
Anyway, going through the Deva Yuga was a lot easier than I was expecting which was good although you do need to backtrack a lot if you want to fuse new Personas.
I was looking forward to this fight since it is my favourite fight in the game and with Deadline playing in the background too, it was an amazing experience.
It was also cool to learn about Ayase's motivation for helping us too.
“Now I’m Super Guido” that is the most out of context dialogue I ever seen in my entire life.
It really is which is why a lot of people like to make fun of it.

Man, guns here sound WAY better than in PSP version.
I have to agree as well. That is one thing I do prefer in the PS1 original.
A lot of the sound effects were either removed or homogenized in the PSP version.

It is some pretty intense healing.
I know people already pointed this out but I absolutely love that not only did you time the start of the battle perfectly, but you perfectly timed the jingle the plays at the end of the battle too. Super satisfying.
Deadline is one of my favourite Persona boss themes so I wanted to show one of the reasons why.
@@BerserkerRohanI really, really owe it to myself to try Revelations for the sound design, OST and overall atmosphere. I've played the PSP version countless times, but I totally agree with the complaints. The PSX version really seems like a one of a kind game, even if the localization is bad.
@@HammerGeoLarrup If you do like Persona 1, the PSX version is worth a try if you don't mind the slower gameplay.
@@BerserkerRohan Definitely going to give it a try sometime down the road then. The slower paced gameplay isn’t a turnoff to me. P1 is genuinely my favorite Persona.
@@HammerGeoLarrup That is nice to hear. Persona 1 might be my favourite too just because I was pretty proud of the playthrough of the PSP version I did on the channel.

@@chronica6457 What he's saying is, the uploader waited until the end of the beginning vocal loop so the "battle" part would kick in at the perfect time.

@@B_A-tr Something funny I realised is that if you aren't running or shooing enemies away that you already have the skill card for, the more you get lost, the stronger you become since you are fighting more battles.
I mean that still makes sense, as both a joke and a serious answer.

The voice acting is very interesting.
Honestly i think guido is the best human villain in persona series and he also didn't overshadowed by some god.
I think he is really great too as a human villain as well.
He was still technically being influenced by Nyarlethotep.

Wasn't the Persona 1 villain Mary/Maki? Guido is just a useful idiot, like all world Elites. Mary is a Demiurge Shadow self where she created a new world just through her thoughts. This is why I love oldschool SMT, the entire plot is Hermetic, Gnostic, Occult. Persona 3-5 turn the Carl Jungianisms into a lame anime villain of the week. P1 & both P2s were on some crazy Blavatsky & Golden Dawn crap. P2:IS even used Hitler, who himself was an avid reader of Blavatsky.

Wait...Lvl 58 by Guido?!?! I was in my late 30s when i got to him.
I think it was combination of thoroughly exploring the dungeons, waiting for certain random encounters to appear and backtracking through dungeons to fuse that got me really overleveled. Also the exp gain feels faster in the PS1 version too.
I was around 40 and this fight was a joke
@@BerserkerRohan In the PS1 version Atlus USA made it easier by lowering the encounter rate and increasing the amount of exp gained.

I honestly wish he was called Power Guido so I vould crack some jokes in my native language.

There's some things that look familiar to final fantasy not gonna lie
I can think of some similarities too like positioning the characters is kind of similar to the row system in some Final Fantasy games.

Sorry for the late comment, but I saw your videos 5 months ago in certain order. I thought that's kinda cool you went playing ps1 version after clearing psp one. I actually avoided the ps1 version because its. . .so slow and Americazation changes and translation is cringy to me:( I love its music and its Asmosphere though!, But the good news is The Jp version of tne ps1 is being translated so maybe then i'll try that one out instead Plus Duckstation emulator has cpu overclock which will make it run much faster.
I'm wondering have you Persona 2 dualogy? it's actually besides p1 how I really fell in love in the Series! I think you would love the story. altho gameplay is sluggish. but. bearable in a way.
I did try the PS1 version because why not but I still liked playing it despite the much slower pace and that PS1 playthrough ended up being my practice for my LP of the PSP version. The localization was really bad but the music is really good and I can see why people much prefer it over the PSP version. Nowadays, I like both soundtracks and I don't really have a clear favourite since both soundtracks have tracks I really like. I hope that translation gets done and you enjoy playing the PS1 version yourself. I need to try both Persona 2 games one day but I do have a lot of JRPGs on my plate currently and I am thinking that Persona 3 might be the next Persona I play as well. Hopefully, I can give them a try next year since I would like to play them on the channel at some point too.
@@BerserkerRohan I'm so glad I'm not the only one that actually Loves both soundtracks! Theres so many dislikes of the psp ver:( *I get that psp doesn't fit the Theme of the game. but this was my first persona game, so I was neutral of that except that I thought alot of modern personas have the jpop musics.*Until I watched Revelations. There is dislikes with Psp version of Innocent sin too:/ because difficulty nerf of a already easy game Censorship of I probly shouldn't say because spoilers.Combat menu being slower despite ignoring some other Qol it has, But I think you might be prepared to play both versions of IS *Or Eternal punishment ps1 for English dub and funny Swear bleeps. and or PSP for definitive gameplay. since you enjoyed ps1 P1 to experiences diferences. I started playing ps1 ver myself and It's. intresting so far lol. if not Playing psp ver is fine enough tbh.
And Persona 3. I really wanted to play! I'm waiting to get a pc to play that myself since I wanna play fes before portable. 😔

@@bigguy31ish I think both soundtracks have great music throughout which is why I like both.
I plan on playing both PSP versions for the Persona 2 duology since the downsides of the PSP Innocent Sin don't bother me too much and the PSP Eternal Punishment does have the better gameplay like you said.
Hope that works out with Persona 3. I am going to play Portable myself actually.
The main thing I did was try out some fusions I had written down to see how they work and that was how the PS1 version helped me to prepare for my LP.

This fight was pretty much a joke, on the wiki it says he has powerful magic but against me he only used death that never hit and normal attacks
His most powerful attacks are really bad so it is a very good thing when he avoids using them.

If you get the bad ending, then you probably have to start over unless you have a save in the Lost Forest.

What happens when the mirror breaks the mirror broke for me and it led me to a different cut scene where there is a butterfly on the hospital bed what did i do wrong did i miss something
You got the bad ending which you get if you fight Mr Bear in the Lost Forest. You need to answer the questions correctly to not fight him and get the good ending.
