It's the same singer, Nico. Actually, this is his debut song with the band. He has so many colours in his voice and he is such a good singer. You can easily think it's not him, but it is 😊 Also, Hypa Hypa has a lot of versions that were released after this one. This is the official, though. And this genre of music is called partycore 😊
The Sasha version is from their Hypa Hypa album which they made during the Pandemic. Its basically an album full of covers of hypa hypa in different styles. I think the sasha and the saltatio mortis version are well worth listening to (and WBTBWB if you dare lol).
Electric Callboy almost always does great in reaction videos because it creates the perfect reaction: surprise, laugh & amazement. And, most will fall down that EC/rabbit hole like we did. It's fun, it's catchy and it just works. For the official style name, it would be electronicore but most fans will call it partycore.
That high pitched screech you were talking about is just a normal scream but with a technique called tunnels, which is when you fold your tongue like a taco while screaming. It's dope
Check out Hypa Hypa Live in Cologne (the city, not perfum 🤪) Lanxess Arena 2023 to hear Kevin doing the screams and squeels on stage. Back in late 2020, they got bored during lockdown and filmed two short TikToks of "alternative" Hypa Hypas: a German traditional folk/ beer festival version and a black metal version. Their followers flooded them with comments, demanding full length variations in different styles. So they reached out to artists from other genres and invited them to do covers/ features or remixes, fully in their own style. We ended up with: a medieval metal cover by Saltatio Mortis, it became one of the fan favourites, a synth pop version featuring Sasha, Linh aka _alienxbaby_, the model from the original, is in this video too, a German rap cover by 257ers (feat. EC), the only variation with additional lyrics, Linh has a cameo, an EDM Remix by Gestört Aber Geil, it works in it's genre but suffers from a quite standard video without any comedic relief (the only video with no member of EC appearing), an emo rock ballad cover by Axel One, a deathcore version by We Butter The Bread With Butter (WBTBWB), another fan favourite, a country version featuring The BossHoss, it has an animated video as, in addition to restrictions during 'that special time', one of the vocalists of The BossHoss had become a father around the time, so they werent able to schedule filming a live action one.
9:34 I had the same reaction the first time I heard Nico's gorgeous melisma, and I still to this day have the exact same reaction every time I hear it. It's my favorite vocal flourish in any of EC's songs. Most reactors miss it, or it doesn't hit them quite as hard as it hit me. Really fun to see the way it got you, too!
I love your reactions! The boys are SO much fun. Glad you're enjoying them. The Hypa Hypa version with Sasha is amazing. I recommend that one and the version with WBTBWB (We Butter the Bread with Butter). Kevin can do the high-pitched pig squeals. It's pretty intense.
Electric Callboy are the most entertaining band in the world right now, Germans have not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of metal & EDM riffs that fill audiences with a euphoria 😆🤘
There are many versions. During Corona, bands cant go on tour, so Electric Callboy asked other bands for covers. Saltatio Mortis, sasha, boss hoss, we butter the bread with butter, 257ers, Axel one...
The genre of this Party Core and there are 6 or 7 other versions of this song wrote by other bands. I like so much the Sacha version of it, and more the one with WBTBWB 😋
There are SEVEN versions of this song via various guests, but the next one worth doing is the WBTBWB version which plays heavily on this video but is... different. And then the entirety of the WBTBWB "Das Album" album is complete fire and should also be done. :)
Maybe it was suggested already, but if you like do to a stream there is a whole album like playlist where other German artist are doing their cover on this explicit song. A wild gerne remix with the the same amount of fun.
Yes, great commentary other than just 'oh good music' that so many other reactors do. Insta-subscribtion from me. More HypaHypa versions: EC X Saltatio Mortis, HypaHypa the medieval version. EC X Sacha: the German schlager version, and then there's a handful more, all worth listening/reaction to for each their reason. (Saltatio Mortis is btw a band worth their own reaction videos. Their songs are perfection, their videos like full fantasy movies in 5 mins)
If you haven't listened to, or reacted to Nigjtwish yet I would it if you reacted to the song "Ghost Love Score" from Wacken Open Air 2013. Its a festival in Germany and Nightwish area symphonic metal band. They blow you away!!! Thanks again🤘💕🤘💕
If you like mixed chanres in music you should react to Babymetal aswell. They have a great collab with EC this year. The music video and the Live version is on the official Babymetal channel (Ratatata). There is another live video from Rock am Ring with both Bands, but they miss to activate Momo-Metals Mic for her growls.
babymetal is the next video i plan to upload, just havent been able to sit down and record due to university and my thesis being a stressfull pain but rest assured that its coming
@@Krishausen Babymetal is live most of the time better than the studio Versions. There is a „inofficial“ Channel from Amuse called: For the Fox God. Amuse is the rightholder of Babymetal. On this channel there are many 1:1 Videos from here Live Videos only availible on the Amuse Store in Japan. And they have most of the time english subs.
you say that like its a bad thing, oh well its literally 1% of viewers who complain about the pauses so, too bad i guess lol. Its a good nickname tho, might make merch out of it or sumtin

Kevin can actually do this high pitched screech live
I just saw it in the live stream of Pukkelpop festival in Belgium
They are SO good live!

well, almost all of their songs have techno elements, so I guess you do like techno, when its done right
Check out Hypa Hypa Live in Cologne (the city, not perfum 🤪) Lanxess Arena 2023 to hear Kevin doing the screams and squeels on stage.

They’re just like a big ass party
I recommend Ratata with baby metal
Their genre is Partycore. The genre of electronic music they implement in this song is Hardstyle.
Thank you for this reaction!
We Got The Moves next!
I love your reactions! The boys are SO much fun. Glad you're enjoying them.
The Hypa Hypa version with Sasha is amazing. I recommend that one and the version with WBTBWB (We Butter the Bread with Butter).

Welcome to the EC family! It only gets more and more fun from here :)
Hypa Hypa from Saltatio Mortis feat. Electric Callboy is my favorite Version. Because it is so different and just awesome
Maybe it was suggested already, but if you like do to a stream there is a whole album like playlist where other German artist are doing their cover on this explicit song. A wild gerne remix with the the same amount of fun.
in germany we call that first kind of teckno affectionately: Hacke
Instant subscribe 🎉please do Hurikan next :) you won’t regret it but may be protect your hearing :) don’t put it on full volume for the 1st listen 😂
Wait until you see their live videos. In my opinion, their videos are awesome, but their live videos are next level.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of EC :D

If I want the video without commentary, I'll watch it. I'm here for the reaction, so pause as much as you like.
