So the power curve is measured fro the prototype in the field? It makes sense since that would be the best approximation to the actual products. But how do you get various wind conditions in the field? No one can manipulate weather. Do you just wait for all wind conditions from calm to strong? Sound like it's gonna take a long for testing.
I see lots of stress testing and extreme environment testing, but how do you test the actual breakdown of materials from simple age? Also the affect that the sun has over all of those years? I'm interested to know
@sickboi1982 may i ask how you got into the industry? I have been trying to get into it but here in Ireland it is hard to know where to look who to ask. I believe Ireland has huge potential in this area and I would love to change career to something sustainable. cheers
I worked on these. Water leaks were not an issue. Gearboxes and generators had issues though, they definitely don't last 20 years. Also a bit of wear on the blades, the fiberglass thinning quicker than expected but nothing that can't be patched with regular rope access maintenance.
It is... I´ve been doing service on the V112 3mw and the v90 3mw. The V112 is much better designed for access, the idiot who designed the position of the gearbox in the V90 should try doing the service himself. The only minus with the V112 is the cover on the mainshaft when going into the hub.
Awesome Technology. Go Vestas !!
The design works!
11:33... he sees your soul.
+PPTgames I was playing a game on my other monitor, I glanced back at the video and almost had a heart attack.
Vestas, you are the best! You have very interesting videos. Thanks a lot for the technology you bring the world. (-:
Impressive testing Vestas. Is there many Vestas turbines in Australia.

They are always on fire
Yes
No more hansen transmissions....?
How much Price for MW3
there's windmill in tagatay
Very nice video, now you have to sell more of them to Portugal. Then I can start working in the world of wind energy
Thank you, Vestas wind mill electric energy.
Is'nt the Isle of Whyte plant closed now?
Vestas rocks!
is 3mv per second?
I don´t know. When I did service on them, we didn´t have any rain
How are the V112 cover doing with regards to leaks? (Water getting in anywhere?)

Look into how much polution is put out making “green energy” blades
Has anyone ever fell off the top of one while working on it? I would be scared to death to get on top of one, even with a safety harness.
i go in windmill in Philippines
Sure he is... His lanyard is hooked into the anchorpoint next to his right knee

Ich wünsche dass ich bei Ihnen arbeiten kann
Stock is good!
Go vestas No Enercon

Finn Strom Madsen looks scary 11:35
i buy a toy windmill the is small
New tecnologie, watch TERMOLIC.
xavier clua miquel termolic is way too loud than a vestas turbine
I prefer Enercon turbines....
Old technology with gallons of oil. Easily surpassed by new technologies. Its only marketing.
gamesa is better!!!!!;P:P:P
Gamesa sucks.
