My KLR is much like yours but yours is much prettier. Mine is a 2002 with the heavily weathered green plastics--I made some of your mods--I also have an 18 inch front rim, it is the rear rim from a Yamaha motocross bike (20 bucks used)--I forget where I got the spokes, but after re-drilling the spoke cups it laced up perfectly. Then I got a Corbin seat--best mod of all! The rest is mostly stock, but it will handle curves like a sport bike. If it had a bit more power it would be a real fast bike.
Yeah right on. A few suspension fixes, 18 inch front and you got yourself a great little bike capable of a lot of abuse. I'm a lazy rider, I love big singles. It suits me, makes me smile whenever I ride it. Oh, an aftermarket seat, damn right. I gotta Seats Concept one, best buy.
the road terminator. contemplating to get one
