I'd love to buy an audio recording of this concert (and many others on KEXP). Please consider selling that.
KEXP plz make a new live session with this amazing band
The ending of Hangir has to be one of the most beautiful moment of musical commitment ever. And that guitar solo. Man. This is gold. I don't where that tone comes from but it's unreal. Riding a hurricane wouldn't be wilder.
I love it when musicians seem to actually love making music together...
Phish
I am hooked to this music. I've memorised all of their albums and looking for more. I really wish for a new album releaase with new tunes. Extremely underrated. These guys are full of talent.
Same here, I particularly like the drummer, Magnús Eliassen, and have listened to some stuff he's played on outside of ADHD. My personal favorite so far is an album he did with the band hist og, its called Days of Tundra. I definitely recommend it if you like his drumming. it's pretty similar to ADHD but It has some more instrumentation, It never really feels like more instruments just for the sake of more instruments though. Oh, and its very drum/percussion heavy
@@wesst.422 I second this recommendation. Excellent trio.
@@c11p his duet album with Tumi Arnason is awesome as well
check out their newest album if you haven't. crazy.
This whole performance is ridiculous. Without a doubt some of the best music I have heard in years.
It's difficult to pick a favorite member in this group but the drummer is something else man.
The Sound of a Hammond will save the world
Yeah but David Por Jonsson is no ordinary Hammond player...in other vids I believe he played a chopped B3, here it looks like an L122 (because of the tabs) but whatever Hammond he happens to be playing, I don't know anyone else who gets the tones he does, not to mention the chord voicings. Jonsson is one of a kind.
The keyboard player in this video is Tomas Jonsson
Amazing musicians; full of suspense, emotion, texture, rhythm.
I'm definitely in love with this band. amazing sound, melody, noise, rhythm...
ADHD & KEXP: A holy matrimony.
i come back to this every once in a while and goddam its criminally underrated. should have 1million views at least
that they don't have a million views is actually a good indicator. It is unique, unafraid and exploratory. Not the stuff for millions
ADHD? On KEXP!? OMFG!
They were on five years ago: ua-cam.com/video/cHmSaLxA4T8/v-deo.html
Great stuff!
It has been a year since their last KEXP visit, time for a quarantine session? I think the world deserves it.
I wish you could bottle up the feelings that London út > Tindlingur give off. Simply sublime.
love this kind of jazz . from very raw thundering organ sounds up to very sensitive and subtile saxophone playing . all excellent musicians !!!
Guitarist is a madman. I’ll have what these guys are having
Lots of lsd 😅🤭
For me, the drummer is taking all the cake. What a machine, just fkin insane. But in combination with the others a musical mindfuck on a scale not even invented!
KEXP coming through clutch with another band that's amazing that I had somehow never heard of previously.
I'm going to tune my drums higher tomorrow
Is his drum set tuned higher? I wouldn't have noticed.
I was ecstatic to see these guys had a new KEXP performance. I've been obsessing over the first one and showing it to friends for the past 6 months or so.
That first performance is mind-melting with the guitar solos.
same thing here =)
I was going to comment in english, aber heilige Mutter Maria Jesus ist das ein geiler Sound! Ganz viel love from Germany
This is art, man!
I wonder if there's statistics of how many musicians there are in Iceland compared with the rest of the population. The country is 300 thousand people, I feel this ratio should be one of the highest in the world.
This type of stat would be hugely skewed by places like the Vatican (pop ~1,000), or Antarctica (pop ~200 in the winter).
Technically, lots of people in the Vatican are singers, so they probably win. In Antarctica, you just need a few researchers to be musicians, and it would greatly skew the results. Considering it's isolation, I expect quite a few of those people are musicians.
More towards the intent of the question (I am not Icelandic, in case it isn't obvious): I think it's in Icelandic culture to go full-on in whatever they do. They notoriously threw a grenade into their banking system, and "fixed" their financial crisis in one fell swoop, while every other country shit the bed. Their music culture is huge, with tonnes of largely varying fantastic artists. Christ, I used to do Crossfit, and they dominate in that as well (especially considering their population, as you've mentioned). A population who seem to really set the bar for others to try and attain.
Most of my friends in Reykjavik are musicians
I like these small countries where the president is also the goalie for the national football team or something.
@@greasystrangler6250 the population of 300k is more than enough to come up with meaningful statistical results. Also, there are number of ways to exclude outliers. Probably they teach these subjects in the school they had performed. The music is great though, let's not throw a grenade on it :)
Can't speak with 100% certainty on Iceland, but in Norway anyways when I toured over there throughout different parts of the country in an Ensemble band we played at a few music and performing arts schools for ages elementary through high school age and some older and in general they seem to encourage performing and alternative arts in Scandinavian and Western European countries a lot more than the states at least anyways? Population size aside, it seems like they encourage from a young age their youth to explore arts more and I definitely can get behind that. Plus Iceland's atmosphere and culture and even simple geography seems to be an easy reason to get so influenced to get into music and art there.
These guys are just incredible. Really hoping to see them live here in Europe in the near future.
they're touring right now!
I've seen them yesterday. It was absolutely magic
They reach so many glorious moments ✊
Oh my god....this is massive
Pictures of sound captured beautifully
Wow.... it's been like getting to another world for one hour... and then coming back. No, I want to be back there again, REPLAY.
I've been waiting for some new ADHD for soooo longgggg
i like how he is enjoys himself too much at 1.34 and fucks up
I can't get enough of these guys! The kind of band I've always wanted to jam with...explore all boundaries!
The B Band approached this in its finest moments
Best live (or not live music) i've heard - we need more of these incredible people
This made me smile right after waking up!
Was hesitant on wether this is worth my time, heard the first Accords and was hooked.
Yes, another great performance from these guys! Also, cool to see Omar found a bass to match that Silvertone 🤗🎸
That building is beautiful.
What a pleasure to see and hear ADHD on youtube again. I've been living with my 2014 KEXP performance for years. Still the most incredible sounds, timbres and songs. Thank you.
Wow, really love this. Such a great sound. Just when you think it's wide open, the form is loaded and tightly woven with melodies. So satisfying. Plus, big tenor sound and one very electric guitar. Searching and cool.
Hangir is one of the most beautiful melodies I know ... getting goosebumps every time
Wow. I play KEXP sessions in the background while working, but Hangir starting @28:45 forced me to switch the screen ... This is incredibly beautiful!!!
Pls support this band and visit their Shows. It’s worth it!
this is a religious experience !!
I was going to stop and listen to this, but I can’t sit still.
Another Level, TOP musicians. EPIC session
I randomly found this and my heart and ears have been blessed. So good.
Love them! Perfect music!
Yes! My favorite Band is back!

Eso es Mucha Música. Increíble. BRAVO ! ! ! ! !!
This is awesome. Like some Future King Crimson Space Jazz
Awesome! Greetings from Saint-P!
Great jazz for evening beer)
Woop Woop!
Nice!
Im waiting...
Live broadcast finished - pressed F5
I don't like jazz so much but when I do it sounds like that kind of jazz. This is absolutely awesome.
I call this style of Jazz home-arrested. Its not really all that free and has it frames, but those frames don't feel too harsh and in the end you feel at home.
@@FelixSaint that's a legit formula, I can relate to it. A lot of jazz sounds flat/vapid and dry to my ears, but this sounds like a steep/craggy territory with peat and drizzle, full of grass & relief.
❤
sometimes i wonder if this is my favorite video on the internet
Klikkað ❤️
Cool
focus!
kewl
Húúúú, a mindenit ezeknek ... félistenek minden hangszeren! Hát tényleg, bravó és gratula, még sok ilyen zenét! Ez egy nagyon progresszív, nagyon elgondolkodtató zene(kar). Helyenként kicsit Dire Straits, kicsit Styx, de egészen új.
😁 couldnt agree more elképesztőek
Kool
they remind me of medeski martin and woods! amazing music!
I only love this kind of jazz
@Adam Jacobs idk but I'm big fan of vulfpeck, if it's considered as a jazz
they ultimately rejuvinate the genre
cookies ? maybe monster
Oh yes. Nice surprise.
