Omg! The fact that your body could produce antibodies if your baby has a postivie blood type is WILD. That obviously hasnt happened the first 3 times right? I'm with you though, i dont like putting things in my body unless i absolutely need to as well. That's a good idea to decline the shot specially since you don't even know what baby's blood type is yet.
Right?! The body is an amazing (and sometimes scary) thing, lol. Nope, that hasn't happened the last 3 times. Jayden and Kadence are both a negative blood type like me. Zander, I think, is a positive blood type but I did have the rhoGAM shot (when I was pregnant with him) and so that would've essentially protected him & I if our blood would've mixed. It's just hard when these types of situations/decisions ride on the "IF" factor, ya know? Like, IF there would be a traumatic accident or IF baby has a positive blood type etc. I did lots of praying when trying to make this decisions! 😮💨
Get your partner to go get bloods done for his blood type, if he is negative then you do not need the shot. Im about to give birth to my third child and I havent had the shot at all with all my pregnancies. My midwives were a bit off with me declining it but i wanted to make sure my partners blood type was negative and it was thank god.
Definitely don't want to risk my baby's safety! I also don't want to alter my health, unnecessarily, if I don't have to. That's why I'm trying to handle this decision/situation carefully. 🙂
If Daddy has a negative rh too then you don't need the shot. The fact that this is your 4th pregnancy and none of your doctors or midwives took the time to test Dad before putting something potentially unnecessary in your body is what angers me about the medical community. If a mother is rh negative why isn't the 1st step asking questions and determinging if the shot is NEEDED!

We do know that his blood type is positive. I'm happy for you that your partner's blood type was negative!
Just take the shot 😊 why risk your baby safety 😮
I havent watched the full video, but if you are negative and your partner is negative, you dont need the shot :)

He is positive, that much I do know. Yeah, that’s what frustrates me too. I wasn’t told that I actually had/have options.
