I remember all of the sudden that when I was 14 I had a t shirt of eels their name glowed up in blue in the dark... That was so awesome at that time 🤣🤣
Counting down to seeing Eels live in London ! It’s been along time coming, so excited that after loving their music as I teen I get to see them in my 40’s. It won’t stop me rocking out they are by far the best band with fantastic musicality and humour that have stood the test of time and even my kids 3,4& 7 dig their tunes . Super excited
I remember all of the sudden that when I was 14 I had a t shirt of Eels. their band name glowed (in blue) in the dark... That was so awesome at that time 🤣🤣 which is also 25 years ago... Love from the Netherlands. And see you tonight. I can't wait!!
The version of 'Novocaine for the Soul' that starts playing at 7:21 is one of my favorites. Last time I looked I couldn't find that version available to purchase...

I watched Eels live at the Astor Place Theatre in Manhattan back in the 90's and one thing I remember so very clearly is that they had the best PA speakers ever. The kick drum hit so loud and low that it was like a hip hop basshead's dream.
I've loved being a fan for all that time and savouring E's magical music via recordings but especially during incredible live sets with his incredibly talented band mates. PLEASE come back to Australia.
The 2005 orchestral show was the last time I was able to convince any of my friends to go see Eels. It was certainly a different experience. The "Worker and Parasite" style cartoon warm up only added to the strange experience. It still remains the only show I've ever been to at the 9:30 Club that had seats on the floor. I will say that it should be illegal to be able to grow the kind of beard Mr. E can grow and not do it. Mr. E, next time I shout "Get Your Freak On" when you're taking requests, try not to look like you want to eat my soul. There's Novocain for that.
I have in cassette Eels : Your Lucky Day in Hell live 1997 Holanda. it is the most beautiful version of the song and the most beautiful song in history.
The Salisbury City Hall gig went down as my favourite Live Gig so far, would love to see them in Southampton later in this year but £84 plus is a little out of reach at the moment 😔
E! Check out the comment I left you on the Last Stop video. I know you probably don't check it so I wanted to make sure you read it. But Sam Esmail left you a secret Easter egg tribute in Mr Robot I thought you would get a kick out of it... it tripped me out when I noticed it. and he definitely did it on purpose :)
What a trip down memory lane. Almost jarring seeing E without a beard now. Not in this clip, but I loved the UK national lottery show where Mark was in a gold suit throwing money at the plebs. EDITED to add it ua-cam.com/video/B23Yw1BJ1Rg/v-deo.html
I do not like specific bands, artists, albums or genres in music But I LOVE The Eels. Hopefully that makes you feel really special because you have a spot in my heart ❤
This is so Nostalgic! I remember when I started to listen Eels when I was 16, and now you bring me all that memories. 🎼🎸🎻
I remember all of the sudden that when I was 14 I had a t shirt of eels their name glowed up in blue in the dark... That was so awesome at that time 🤣🤣
Eels never fail to put on a great show. It’s been an incredible ride so far with so many Great albums and live performances -

Ya know, I was feeling kind of shitty and down tonight. I opened up UA-cam and saw this and I feel a hell of a lot better. That's the Eels magic, man.
Gawd damn right it's a beautiful day.
Happy 25th Anniversary.
Can't wait to see them in March

I saw you guys in Dublin (I´m Italian) in 2006 or 2007. E was really pissed off at the crowd, but I still enjoyed the concert.
