We use to decorate after Thanksgiving but the past couple of years we decorate the living room and upstairs but leave outside and kitchen Fall for Thanksgiving. Then we'll finish up decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. Spreading it out helps not feeling overwhelmed. This year I completely let my kids decorate the tree with all of their ornaments. It's not fancy like several of my friend's but I love it so much more.🥰 I've been wanting to start a Christmas village. Love your decor!🎄

We decorate for Christmas normally on December 1st. Unfortunately since the loss of my father Christmas has been a very difficult time of year for me. But for some reason this year I'm feeling motivated to go ahead and start decorating. So I'm actually going to have my husband bring up the Christmas tree on Friday.

Literally decorate the day before Christmas Eve and dont turn on lights until Christmas Eve night. It seems to me that makes it more special and we let it last until the middle of February. It brightens up the dreariest middle winter months. ❄🎄
We put our tree up early cause my husband came up with a new idea for our little Christmas village. This year he put the village under the tree with a train. Our kids just love it. We plan on finishing this week. 😊

We try and decorate the inside for Christmas sometime in November (definitely before the craziness for Thanksgiving rolls around), and the outside the day after Thanksgiving that way we can enjoy all the decor for a good amount of time since we put out so many decorations 🎄❤️

First, I love your videos, very motivating!! I decorate the first of November. I started this years ago because we would go to the beach the week of Thanksgiving and I would want to come home to Christmas!! This tradition has continued and I love it!! Christmas decorations and lights just bring such peace, especially with the way things are now.
I start decorating mid October because it takes time to get everything out of the garage and basement and sort what I am going to put out and where. I love for the majority of it to be done around the time Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas begins so I can watch all the sweet movies with my house already decorated. I am usually fully decorated by Thanksgiving when my family gathers at my home. They get the best of both holidays because some wont be able to return for Christmas. I love holiday time and I enjoyed watching you decorate.
I became a cat lady about 5 years ago. I too only had dogs! Love them cats, Kitty Garfield and Koal Catdog, so much! I still want another dog. We had a black lab named Indy. I miss her a lot.
I don’t even have a time when I put my stuff up. Sometimes after thanksgiving sometimes before whenever the vibe is right lol I do take everything down the day after Christmas. I have seasonal depression (it’s cold dark and gloomy in Buffalo) and taking it down makes me feel like spring will come faster😂 I love doing pops of pink for Valentine’s Day. My family just started a tradition of getting our tree and decorating the day after our oldest daughters birthday (Nov 27th. She's a big 4 year old now!!). We chopped our tree down today and I'm currently between decorations, lol!!

The brunch looked like so much fun! We usually don’t decorate until the day after thanksgiving, my husband loves thanksgiving so I usually just leave the decorations up till then, however they do stay up until mid January 😂 loved the friendmas brunch! The drink looked so yummy
I love watching your videos! My family usually decorated for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. We typically travel for thanksgiving and on Black Friday we go to a choose and cut tree farm to get a fresh tree. Once home on Sunday, we start decorating. Depending on the year we may do just lights and no decorations or go all out with decorations and blow ups on the front lawn. This year we were not able to travel and may be moving soon so not sure what will end up happening for Christmas decorations.

Hey Amy, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. We host Thanksgiving dinner at our house so I like to keep the fall decor out for that. This year my daughter did want to go ahead and put the tree up the day before Thanksgiving so we may start at least doing that from now on! We still need to finish decorating it! And I just purchased the red wrapping paper storage tote that matches your ornament storage! I fit all my rolls of Christmas wrapping paper in it. I have two cats and when they are sleeping on the couch I put a throw blanket over them. They love it. It's warm and they feel hidden. Cats love to hide just a little bit. I have one who loves to stay under the coffee table and I think that she thinks she's hidden. She'll hide behind the table runner hanging off the side lol. We put the tree up yesterday but it only has lights on it for now.
We do the same thing with our tree. I get my boys a new ornament every year. I also have mine from my childhood! So there’s definitely no “theme” to our tree! But I love it that way!!🥰

Really enjoyed this video. We also don’t have a Pinterest worthy tree, love using family ornaments. Now that kids are older we have made boxes for them of their ornaments to use on their own trees as their families grow.

We decorate right after Halloween. It’s our favorite holiday but it’s also so much work decorating for it to only be up a month lol love watching your videos. Definitely got me motivated to clean up before having guests for Thanksgiving!
My family just started a tradition of getting our tree and decorating the day after our oldest daughters birthday (Nov 27th. She's a big 4 year old now!!). We chopped our tree down today and I'm currently between decorations, lol!!

I just finished decorating for Christmas too! This was he perfect motivation to get the rest of my decor up. We have a pickle ornament that we hide in the tree but hiding it someone else in the house would be a cute idea!! Thanks for motivation ☺️

The brunch looked like so much fun! We usually don’t decorate until the day after thanksgiving, my husband loves thanksgiving so I usually just leave the decorations up till then, however they do stay up until mid January 😂 loved the friendmas brunch! The drink looked so yummy
I love watching your videos! My family usually decorated for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. We typically travel for thanksgiving and on Black Friday we go to a choose and cut tree farm to get a fresh tree. Once home on Sunday, we start decorating. Depending on the year we may do just lights and no decorations or go all out with decorations and blow ups on the front lawn. This year we were not able to travel and may be moving soon so not sure what will end up happening for Christmas decorations.

We usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. We host Thanksgiving dinner at our house so I like to keep the fall decor out for that. This year my daughter did want to go ahead and put the tree up the day before Thanksgiving so we may start at least doing that from now on! We still need to finish decorating it!
And I just purchased the red wrapping paper storage tote that matches your ornament storage! I fit all my rolls of Christmas wrapping paper in it.

I have two cats and when they are sleeping on the couch I put a throw blanket over them. They love it. It's warm and they feel hidden. Cats love to hide just a little bit. I have one who loves to stay under the coffee table and I think that she thinks she's hidden. She'll hide behind the table runner hanging off the side lol. We put the tree up yesterday but it only has lights on it for now.

We do the same thing with our tree. I get my boys a new ornament every year. I also have mine from my childhood! So there’s definitely no “theme” to our tree! But I love it that way!!🥰

Really enjoyed this video. We also don’t have a Pinterest worthy tree, love using family ornaments. Now that kids are older we have made boxes for them of their ornaments to use on their own trees as their families grow.

I love your video! I am so excited to decorate for Christmas this year. This Christmas is my husbands and I’s first Christmas married!! We are planning on getting our first real tree next week and I am excited to shop for our first Christmas decorations around the apartment. I don’t have much space but I like all the small decor you put around in different places. Normally I would decorate with my roommates after thanksgiving but this year is a little different t shopping for our first things. 🙂
