Always loved this song. To this day, I've never heard a soundtrack have that distinct sound that Super Mario Kart has.
Soyo Oka is an amazing composer. It’s a shame Nintendo didn’t really use her again for other projects.

The soundfont is heavily inspired (if not straight up sampled) from the legendary 80's synth Jupiter-8, that's why it's so vintage sounding and warm

where'd you get the original sample sources? I've been working on a few remakes myself but I only have a few original samples to work with
I got them from the VGM & other instrument sources discord server
