I agree I would definitely do everything that Anikin did but then after the fury I would make sure that I've gone back and properly buried those who suffered my wrath For I don't care if you killed my mother and 🍇 her corpse you are still entitled to a proper burial and any and all respect afforded to the dead at your place of final rest And it's something that I practice even today, I will continue speak ill of the dead often even if they have personally wronged me but at their place of rest I would unleash that same fury to defend their grave in the event of desecration or defilement no matter what they have done in life Attacking the dead at their final place of rest is one of the most cowardly dishonorable and vile acts of inhumanity. There's a reason why disrespect for the dead at their grave is a universal taboo across every culture worldwide
Why Anakin/Vader is by far my favorite character in any story is because I know at his age with everything he'd been through and then his mom etc, is because so many thoughts and feelings he had would have made me feel the exact same ways. I would have raged at my mom being killed and the tuskan raiders would have paid just like they did. His entire life and inevitable fall seems so relatable to me it's crazy. I would have let my rage and fear ruin my life at 22 having force powers. It would have done to me the exact same things it did to him at that age and I know that whole heartedly. I would have hated the Jedi for not thinking everything felt was something below a Jedi feeling. Watching them continually make decisions not based on what's right but what's politically convenient. It's relatable AF. It's the realest fall of someone genuinely good and caring. Vader in his most egregious act killed all those younglings because an evil and uncaring anger filled part of a magical essence known as the force that Jedi know can control your thoughts and motives so they attempt to control their emotions so they are in control of the force while the sith either by fear, anger, or , lust for power which are things we all feel (minus an unseen magical power that has its own will and allows certain people to become super hetoes or villains) allow their negative emotions to be controlled by it which makes it possible and likely you'll do things you never would have before. And Anakin having lost the one father figure who could have possible trained and raised him and taught him to control and let go, be ok with everything especially loss in qui gon, died and set Anakin fate in stone having the rest of his time as Anakin under the tutelage of a young and obvious council thinking Jedi in obi wan and not with QuiGon who was more what a Jedi should be.
@rejvaik00 a sand storm would have buried them by the time you got back. If this was real life, those Anakin killed, the bodies would have been under sand. Even if you put a head stone, that would be covered as well. Yes, a wind could blow the sand back off, but usually everything stays buried. That's why people on beaches use metal detectors and find expensive stuff that wind blew sand over, but a sand storm covers stuff up alot faster. That's why Episode 1, Anakin asked if the Jedi had a place to go because the sand storm would have buried them alive. So you could say these sand people got buried.
Something to note as well about the slaughter of the Sand Peoples, that survivors (Yes there were survivors.) will on that very night on the eve of when they were attacked will commence a massive worship and tribute to the gods as the tribe fully believed Anakin was a vengeful spirit sent by their gods to punish them for their sins. And to this day the same tribe tells tales to their children about Anakin as well as a warning/fable.
I personally like the explanation for Anakin becoming a Force-ghost. I feel like there's a misconception surrounding Force-ghosts, that becoming one is somehow the Star Wars version of Heaven, that his attainment of such a state of being signifies redemption. THIS explanation turns that on its head, as it makes it clear that, rather than achieving redemption, he seeks ATONEMENT for what he's done. His work towards making things right only STARTED with his death. He's not redeemed, he's not resting in peace.. he's stil on the journey. Who knows if he ever truly can be redeemed? But he's determined to try, even after what most people would consider the end.
These compilations are awesome! You could honestly string the full videos you’ve made around a subject that could be 6-8 hours long and we’d eat it up. Whether it’s lore to pass time and raise interest or background chatter it’s sooothjng and well done sir
Darth Vader's suit is just a coffin to keep someone fighting way past their expiration date. Reminds me of the dreadnoughts from 40k, really grimdark, fits a sith perfectly
My two cents on the prophecy is that Anakin was meant to bring balance by getting rid of both the Jedi and the Sith. Both sides tried to assert dominance over the force, hated attachments and yet both sides were undone by Anakin's love for Padme and later Luke.
Absolutely. The way he justifies the Empire’s atrocities is the exact reasoning of wanting the Jedi to help planets like Tatooine. He’s tragic and full of love, but absolute love leads to hate and coldness towards a perceived threat to that love. Anakin decimated both unbalancing forces, it just took him 20+ horrible years to deal with the worse one lol. And as much as I may hate the final Star Wars movie, the theme of both light and dark needing to be in perfect harmony and/or nonexistent altogether for true balance to be achieved is compelling.
I just wish we had remastered video games of episode 1 through 3. With the same graphics and gameplay style as Star wars Jedi survivor. I would play those games religiously
1:39:00 Luke proved that the order was completely wrong about this. Having loved ones doesn't lead one to the dark side; it only strengthens the light. Luke saving Vader is a prime example. In legends, it was said the Jedi could gain power from love the same way Sith would from hate and anger. Anakin turned to the dark side because he had unhealthy relationships that he had to hide. It wasn't the relationships themselves fault.
Vader wanted to protect his son from being destroyed by Darth Sidious. Believing his son could be powerfull enough to defeat the impereor was ridicoulous. As second later Sidious would have killed Luke Skywalker with force lightning or chokin, breaking him into parts easily.
As much as my mom probably wouldn’t have let me watch it and maybe my love for them wouldn’t have budded, I think the Star Wars movies should’ve been Rated R and hella graphic. I think I needed to see and feel Anakin’s pain & Rage more. I didn’t realize how raw it was until I got into the lore so the movies felt a smidge corny once I grew up, even though I still loved them for what they were
Just a question. Do you think you can do a video about Leia finding out about Padme and also her thoughts on Anakin in canon? I know that there is info out there somewhere and I want you to be the one to bring it to light 🙏🏽💯
Vaders biggest mistake was not trusting who he truly was. (He could have cloned himself and trusted the clones to train in the lightside). (Because Dark Empire, maybe he could have at least transfered into one.)
attachment is bad mkay Vadar destroyed the galaxy because of attachment... yet Luke because of his attachment saved the universe by having faith in his father. Yep the Jedi got what they begged for. Family doesn't make you weak or make bad decisions. Family makes you strive to better the situations for them and not yourself. Jedi RIP
Anakin is like Zap Brannigan from FUTURAMA, is so delusional and so in love with himself that, even though everybody kicked his ass, specially Obi-Wan, who had deafeted him twice now, he still believed he was superior in the force and that he was more powerful than Palpatine.
You know, in hindsight, Christianson was blasted for his bad acting as Anakin Skywalker, however, in the portrayal of a socially and emotionally awkward young man, raised mostly by Jedi masters, I kinda value his portrayal much more. Now I say this especially after the command of those woke movies creators who destroyed this coveted and legendary universe and franchise, to then blame the fandom and make them all oppressors in the true Marxist style, just like what it does to any good society in the real world.
Nobody could watch their mom die in their arms knowing the people responsible are right out front. And not kill them
I honestly don't know what i would do.. at that age with my powers ..
I agree I would definitely do everything that Anikin did but then after the fury I would make sure that I've gone back and properly buried those who suffered my wrath
For I don't care if you killed my mother and 🍇 her corpse you are still entitled to a proper burial and any and all respect afforded to the dead at your place of final rest

I could. You don't know my mother.

I thought he shed the tears because of killing the younglings. Thanks for dropping this gem

Appreciating the grind 💚🫂✌🏽

Hardly three seconds have since passed since this was released, and I already know that it will be a superb video! Thank you for this, Retney!

And I gotta say, my favorite moment of balance being influenced by the Force is in Rogue One.

My 1st favorite Luke, now my 3rd favorite Anakin? He'll yeah! Can we get Jacen Solo?!

amazing job on this
Goooood, good my apprentice. Darth Sidious (2005)

These should really be in timeline order!
Why did they not talk about him destroying the depth Star?
