IMHO Magpie is overrated. Next time you’re there, try Trenchers or Fuscos (Royal Fisheries). Trenchers is the best. You walked past my parents memorial bench on the pier. 🥰

If you ever get bikes you can get a collapsible bike trailer so boo can come with you on the bike's 😊
We had the bike trailer and 3 e-bikes but never used them and boo didn’t like the trailer so got rid of everything ☺️
You brought back some lovely memories for me and Mike. Mike used to walk is mum in her wheelchair there in Whitby, and we would also go to magpies for fish chips. Sadly, Mike's mum passed away in April 22 with dementia which she got in lockdown. She was 93. Brilliant vlog folks and thanks for the lovely memories. See you all on the next one ❤
Dementia is nasty isn’t it, my grandad passed away 18 months ago and had it, it’s awful to see 😔

I went in Yorkshire Trading while we were in Whitby the other week for new walking stick and came out with a bag full of stuff. I think there’s still one in Sleaford.
I couldn’t manage the steps up to the abbey . We cheated and drove up to the abbey car park.
I didn’t manage the full length of the pier either. My walking stick kept going between the boards on the last section and it was a bit scary.
It was Monday that we went as well. Had exactly the same chunter about that butchers being closed. 😂
Ha ha it’s a butchers thing as when Kath used to work in one before zak came along that one shut on a Monday!
😊 I often do me toasties in the air fryer. They are such a versatile appliance. Bake a cake even! Just get some silicone muffin cups/ loaf type shape. Making eggy cups is good to LOL What an interesting place. Pay to use loo. Gosh, history repeating. I remember having to put a penny in to use the loo at the train station when I was young. That Ole saying " gotta spend a penny". 😊
Is that where the saying came from? I never knew that!!!

Those chips looked tasty, we went to The Ship Inn at Flamborough for a carvery today, definitely worth a visit, the meat wast to die for, the pub has a dog friendly area too. Whitby could do with parking bays for larger vehicles but I think the locals opposed it 😊

Chips looked lovely but the fish portion was quite small IMHO for the price. I also watch Gary Eats on You Tube and he recommends Trenchers. I've never been to Whitby though so what do I know!
I have been to Whitby more times than I can count and Gary is correct - Trenchers every time.
Will try that one next time!
