You're right; that was a good day. When I was going to Korea in the 1980s and 90s, there were tons of leather jackets for sale around the military bases, and most were not of the highest quality. The fedora was great, very Indiana Jones.
I rarely go to yard sales listed online unless theres pics that show lots of things im interested in. I will drive around to find sales. After doing it for so long i have learned how to drive around on all the main roads that will have a sign out. The only bad part is that 65% of people have no idea how to make a good yard sale sign. 65% of people just put the sign with the address annd no sign so you have to know the neighborhood and or stop to put it in your gps to find it. When i have yard sales i make large neon quality signs with large arrows on the proper side/corner of street to get maximum people to show up. I just put Y-Sale large on it with an arrow and the address smaller on the bottom just so people dont steal the sign for their yard sale (yes ive had this happen before and i actually followed my signs to the guys sale and cussed him out for stealing my signs to use one street down the road).
As a reseller for over 40 years i always have a max number in my mind that im willing to pay for anything. So when people dont have a price on things i usually throw a number thats 50-70% of my max and if they turn it down i will start walking away for a few seconds to see if they accept the offer when they see me walking away but if i get to end of the drive way i will turn and offer them my max price. Works allot of the time.
What app do you use to find yard sales? And what other methods work for you? I live in a small town and the classifieds are still the only thing people use, but most yard sales aren't advertised there either.
You passed on the giraffe hat and ornament! You never know when you have a giraffe lover watching that may have bought them from you 😂😂 I enjoy you too so much!
I picked up a shiny bright box of ornaments at an estate sale and they weren’t the right ornaments in the box. But they’re still vintage and sold for $24 and the shiny bright box sells for around $20 by itself!
It's one thing to be rough in your storage lockers but it was pretty rude to rifle through and unwrap those christmas ornaments without putting them back the way you found them
I dealt with a rude reseller once at my yard sale. He came in and was picking up my things, looking it up and then tossing it back down. When he found something he wanted he asked what's the best I could do on it? I asked, what do I have on it? Even though I knew. He told me and then I repeated the price he stated as the best I could do. The best thing about it is a few minutes later a kid picked it up and I told the kids parents he could have it for $5 less than the sticker price. Be an asshat get treated like an asshat!
I was yelling to pick up the "Ultimate Chopper" appliance 16:49, right in front of Kayla. I just sold one for $38.95 plus shipping. Couldn't see the price (I picked it up for $5) but mine was listed less than a couple of weeks before it sold.
If it's still being sold, the manufacturer may be able to provide one. We did that with a safe of my mother's... key lost, but the manufacturer, after ascertaining we were legit owners, helped us. Of course, the safe was already unlocked... we weren't thieves looking to open it. Ha.
I don't know about now, but used to you could buy the blank clipone. Earrings in bulk at a place like Michaels. It's cold alright. I don't know to see you in South Carolina. It's a craft store cause. I used to buy the wires for the other earrings. But they had plenty of clamp ones if you haven't tried there, try there. Thank you, and y'all had a beautiful day.God bless you and stay safe
I live in Maine and I was working in a little print shop that had gotten a contract to print those little logo discs in the stethoscope.... that's where I was on 9/11😢
😅😂😅😂😅😂😅 Is it a Raccoon ,Cat or a skunk ..i just love you guys ❤❤..i can watch your videos all day 😊. Two of the most sweetest, respectful you tubers out there ! Hugs from Kentucky 🤗
If she uses mailing labels for her mail or you can make her one on the computer. Put a mailing label on the lead and on the casserole dish on the bottom, they will stay and she will know that that lid and casserole is hers.
If they were cheap enough I would have bought the shiny bright boxes. I buy singles and would appreciate a box, and most collectors probably would too.
I don't understand why anyone would put goods in a yard sale without pricing items.. Makes no sense to me. Mind, some pieces of Fiestaware have very good resale value so I'd have made a modest offer to see if it was accepted. For example, I recently bought two similar Fiesta S&p shakers on eBay and paid $30 for the pair. Most people were selling them for $40. Love the skunk/raccoon club cover.
@@donnaspahr5585 I have a number of vintage glass ornaments [some 60 years old] and they have a different look than new ones... there's a patina, some color fading.. Many people prefer look to the new ones, so yes, they sell well. Shiny Bright was the top brand in the past... I have one old Shiny bright ornament from 1934, belonged to my grandpa, with his name painted on it and birthdate, for his first Christmas.
When I used to decorate for Xmas ,I'd set up a winter scene with my little village houses ,church ,etc .would do a scene with a medium sized mirror with snow cloth around it ,add my village people . Just do that any more ,lost my interest in the holidays ,long time ago .too many years of working retail ,seeing how people acted .cured of liking the holidays .

Great finds, the fireplace fan was a good one. ❤😊
People need to have their prices on their stuff when selling thing's
I agree.
Drives me nutty when they don't. And then we you asked them, they still don't know!
That was bizarre. You go to all that work to set up, & no prices? 😮
The shiny brite ornament box with the tree cut out in the front recently sold for $20. People buy the empty boxes 😮 next time grab it!😊
I always buy the empty boxes too!

Shout out to Cle! I like that guy. He was a natural salesman.
Shiny brites are not always glass. They come in several materials including plastic.
The percolator was really nice. The handle could be Bakelite. Love the cat embroidery.
Always great yard sale buys! Have a fun weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Works allot of the time.
Sweet stuff! I'll take that sago palm in the yard sale where you saw the shiny brights!
I’m just cuddled up in my bed with my raccoon watching videos tonight.

I used to sleep with my pet raccoon ❤

That fireplace fan was so cool.
The gumball dispenser opens with a coin or flat head screwdriver 👍🏻
You passed on the giraffe hat and ornament! You never know when you have a giraffe lover watching that may have bought them from you 😂😂 I enjoy you too so much!
My tree gets loaded with animal ornaments, the more unusual, the better. I'd have bought the giraffe at first sight.
Love the racoon framed thing LOL. (not enough to buy it!) Nice pick on that fireplace peacock, too.

Have a wonderful weekend ❤❤
7:36 When I was little, we had one of those in front of our fireplace. All I wanted to do was play with it.
OMG! My husband use to work at RichmanBros in Ohio and here in Elmira New York. That is to funny , I haven’t heard that name in a long time
Shiny Brights are the best vintage ornaments.
It's one thing to be rough in your storage lockers but it was pretty rude to rifle through and unwrap those christmas ornaments without putting them back the way you found them

WHY? Would you put out your stuff wrapped like that and expect someone to just buy it sight unseen? Seller didn't care. Lazy.

I loved that foldy-flippy-chair-ironing board thingy lol. And did i see a bunch of vintage costume jewelry where you got the percolator?? Great finds!
A good locksmith will be able to make a key for the bubble gum machine.

Not first! Watching with my granddaughter eating candy canes! Excited for this video! ❤😊 cheers from Birmingham Alabama ❤😊
Kayla, my granddaughter Emma Kate noticed your McDonald’s happy meal Halloween shirt ! She says to tell you she LOVES it! Where did you find that? ❤😊
ONLY bubble gum in the gumball machine
Yep, M&Ms would clog and then you'd get chocolate and crust crumbs inside everything.

It’s a fireplace fan , worth lots of money
Maybe put Skittles in the gumball machine? Thank goodness you didn't suggest putting Kayla in there this time! Lol😂
Oh, it's a shotgun shell. No it's a bank .......... a bank shaped like a shotgun shell. ...... that guy was trying to sell you everything 🤣
M&Ms pretty sure would Melt in a Gumball machine? Still Good idea Gumballs stink not Chocolate with peanuts!

Fantastic finds today!! I love your show. You're both so nice and respectful of sellers. 🦝🦝
Good grab on the littman. It's just like mine! 😊
Love sales that weren't advertised.

😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
Wow, the skunk and the lamp had some exciting prices on the internet.
It looks like your brass fireplace has been re sprayed which will detract from the value, still a good score.
If they were cheap enough I would have bought the shiny bright boxes. I buy singles and would appreciate a box, and most collectors probably would too.
The 2 of you make me laugh every video!
If bubble gum machine is for the booth you can replace the lock w/ key from $10-15 diy
Great sign off, bro!
19:15 that was a safe pickup. 😉

Glass ornaments sell well
That gumball machine sure does look familiar....
Love the raccoon-I mean cat picture 😂🤣
Wait a minute, didnt I see that skunk racoon in your whatnot show like a few weeks ago? lol. You guys found some cool vintage pieces!
FYI. . . look up metamorphic chair or furniture.

I live in the UK and I am going to buy some Christmas cactus
Im amazed that glass ornaments are considered vintage.....you can buy them a dime a dozen where i live
They still make them yes, but some are vintage and worth much more than the modern ones. If the ones you see are vintage I’m very jealous.
