If you have a spare hour, just sit back and enjoy this delightful old black and white movie. It rolls along with action and humour. Perfect. England, February, 2024.
Fab yous indeed
@@MadonnaGrogan Thank you young lady, Much appreciated.
What a delightful movie and very well done with a lot of great supporting actors including a very young and handsome Anthony Quinn. I never realized he was so tall!
Thanks for an hour of good entertainment!
Another entertaining Bulldog Drummond movie to watch. Thanks for the upload 🙂
Tenny and Algy make this series. Wonderful! 😄
Alge on the man
The way Drummond's fiancee fainted was hilarious 😁. Another great one. Thank you for sharing it with us. ♥️
I waited and waited, but it was worth it, thank you for the tip.
Wow...check out early Anthony Quinn as Deone Fordine!!
Viewers were respected in the good old olden days. This was 58 minutes of pure, gripping entertainment. I am so grateful to be watching this today. Thank you Pizza Flix for uploading such gems...
Admirable toast by the Scotland Yard inspector.
that certainly must be the most graceful insult in film history; i only wish i might visit the same reproach on my nemesis! (s)...

MERCI POUR CE FILM AVEC UN ANTHONY QUINN BEAU ÉLÉGANT JEUNE!..
@PizzaFlix Great movie. And now we know why Col. Nielson likes Captain Drummond. I'm loving this series of Drummond movies. Really fun stuff. Thank you for posting them for us all to enjoy. Do try to watch them in order, by year, if possible.
Great show
This was one of the best Drummonds.
OMG, I've never seen Anthony Quinn this young! He was 23 when this movie was made!
I liked the others, but Howard was my favorite Bulldog, and being an American, he portrayed a Brit quite well!
What a great wee movie, or as Tenny would say........
I rather think so sir. Lol
Jolly good fun!
Having heard of the Bulldog Drummond character several times over the years, it's great to actually see a feature with the character " in person ". For some reason I figured he was American.
Bulldog = British
Howard, from the name, I expected a Tammany hall thug or crooked cop- thumbs in suspenders chewing on a dead seegar!
I always thought BullDog Drummond was a hippie band in the 60's.
@@billmcdonald9115 Well, there are two Drummond movies from 1967 or so that are more or less just James Bond clones. They're supposed to be _very_ good clones if you enjoy James Bond, but at the same time, that's just not in spirit of the 1930s series.
Howard Kent. No - archetypical English public schoolboy WW1 army officer.
Better than most things on TV these days.
I love how Tenny always has a gun! Hahaha
Or a couple of files in his socks! Tenny is a very resoursceful aide de camp (he's much beyond valet level!) and friend.🌂🧤🎩
Tenny has to be the best Adventurous British Butler I've ever seen grace the screen. He's a gentleman, resourceful, charming, a friend, & he doesn't shy away when the going gets tough. "I try to give satisfaction, sir."
Enjoyable enough for a Howard episode thanks to the improved casting of HB Warner as Nielsen of Scotland Yard and Heather Angel is back as Phyllis. Also EE Clive as Tenny is always worth watching and this one is particularly notable for featuring future Hollywood legend Anthony Quinn.
Such an enjoyable romp by all involved !
Did anyone else notice a very young Anthony Quinn in this film? That was a pleasant surprise.
Great show, thank you!
Love old murder mystery
This is my second One I seen :))) thanks, like the others say!!
Fine cast and movie. Antony Quinn had to change his name before coming a movie star in Hollywood! Lol
Thank you !!
Note the presence of a very young Anthony Quinn of Zorba fame
at 32:50 when Anthony Quinn draws a gun...he's LEFT HANDED! who knew?
He’s very handsome indeed!
No matter who is there on the screen with him, all eyes are on him.
Quinn did hundreds of films. You can see his biography here on youtube.
Ah...I should have read your comment, Greg Duff before I added mine...haha
Great movie great cast of actors
Wonderful film
John Howard would be in The Philadelphia Story two years later, as the groom of the projected wedding.
Love these movies!!
Did you spot Anthony Qinn playing Coldeen a staff member of African consulate.
Almost as good as the thin man….in fact I like this sorry it is not as known…..love the support actors❤❤❤
Sounds like Anthony Quinn's was voiced over. Doesn't sound like his young voice that had a Spanish accent. It was his first language.
Anthony Quinn , seen him coming ou of bookstore in Flushing, Queens NY..
I really like EEClive, seen him in several things
Must be great to have your own plane wow
Long flight London to Morocco with no lavatory on board.
A very young, Anthony Quinn hovering in the background. Handsome! Hmmm, hmm.
If I were Tenny {is that Bulldog's butler's name?!} I'd ask for a raise!
Not his Butler, but rather his Valet.
thanks
8:56 He must've sat on one of those loud stuffy chairs. Their rudimentary microphones didn't seem to pick it up very well.

A good movie to doze off in front of on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It only runs for 58 minutes, so you can never fall too far behind with the storyline. It gets a 6/10 from me. 11 May 20224

Anthony Quinn sounds and looks like Caeser Romero. ," Nice Kitty"!..
We knew that would happen!
" Nice Kitty ! "
HOWARD..............NICE LEGS ..!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. Espanol .. is the language of Morocco????????
Maybe it's a new "Arabic ".
Back then, in the 30 to 50s women fainted at the drop of a hat....How things have changed!!
Well, they did in the movies, at any rate. :)
Yes, that was a plot device used in so many movies, some sort of mind set I think left over from the Victorian era when Iadies really did faint at the drop of a hat due to not being able to breathe in those tight corsets. Personally neither I, nor any other female I have ever known have fainted. Another common female attribute in early films was the inability to run for any length of time while trying to escape without tripping and falling to the ground, when the hero would have to scoop the female up in his arms and carry her. 🙄
Like the casting of Walter Pidgeon, this Drummond is also inappropriate. He should be English Public School.
Sorry, the movie is lovely but I would never had watched if Anthony Quinn had a larger part. He was the most flagrant adulter on the earth and flagrantly so. He tried to bed anyone woman who walked by. Poor excuse for a man.
Not much African about this!🤣 The police seem more like South American stereotypes.
The Lion. 👍

I've seen some lame movies.... this one tops the list. !!
High praise!
To be frank, "Africa" _is_ my least favorite of the 8 Bulldog Drummond movies released from 1937 - 1939. I prefer any other one from that year range. This one's just "OK" to me. However, I'm sure there are worse movies.
Old black n whites have a cigarette have a drink everyone smoked n everyone drank just saying lol
My mother told me they were pressured to smoke, you can always tell who the non smokers were. They didn’t inhale, and usually put it out shortly after they lit it. I don’t know if it was sponsors, most likely
Too many people died from those death sticks, even in the 1930s. Warner Oland (who was in the 1934 Drummond movie with Colman) might have been one. I also still think he was the best Charlie Chan, though he only was in the Charlie Chan movies from 1931 - his death in 1938, at the young age of 58.
How I mis smoking, gave it up years ago, but if they were to say "sorry David', I would light up a fag, Players for preference.
Why didn’t they just shoot the lion?
