- A beautiful, mysterious woman becomes the first female to step foot on Strasnoy Island -- formerly a sea-bound monastery, now home to one of the Soviet Union's most infamous prisons...
Award-winning artist Dan Parsons has again teamed up with The Atlas Society's Jennifer Grossman for this adaptation of Red Pawn, an early screenplay written by Ayn Rand! #Objectivism #RedPawn
This was a surprise. Was interesting, and near the end, started boldly asking those basic questions that Rand's characters would ask.

love it!! I had ideas of making an animation/motion comic of Anthem, then saw the one you uploaded 2 years ago. Beat me to it!! Great to see and looking forward to episode 2!
😢Dy😊😢😢😢😢😢😢

animation, music,
voices, duplication of the author's communication.
From the first second,
I could imagine the abject horror and terror of that place. I wanted to not continue, but could not stop because the suspence pulled me forward to the end of the episode, which leaves a craving to find out what happens next. A truly
extraordinary writer.
For me, it is not about plot, it is the atmosphere of utter enslavement that drives the story, wherein it takes on a life of its own as the protagonist.
A profound critique of political suppression.
I think this is a warning against altruism. He says he has no identity beyond his duty and so does she.
Altruism? You heard of a man named Gandhi?
Fantastic piece! Thank you
what date shall we expect the second episode?
Yes.
This was really good! I'm looking forward to the next installments! :)
The graphics and sound effects is beautiful.
I am wondering what ayn rand is thinking.
Looking forward to the next episodes!
Impressive! Look forward to the rest.
Excellent booklet is available as well. Thoroughly instructive.
This certainly had me enthralled all the way through and with an ending like that I just have to know what happens next
I owe the Atlas Society some money for this. Wish I had enough financial backing to help with Ideal or Night of January 16th.
One purpose Miss Rand meant to achieve in her work was to define/represent the Ideal Man; that could not be done without referencing the sort of Woman He would admire most.
This is awesome. Thank you
Any chance of other episodes??
Nice. I'll share this series with friends. It is a good lead in to discussion.
Was Rand a self hating woman? Seems like it
When is part 2 coming?
Wasn't this later made into a movie called Red Dawn? How could monks build a monastary of the coast of Siberia?
"Red Dawn" is a different movie from the '80's about high school kids who defend America from a UN/Soviet invasion from hideouts in the hills. A monastery on an island is a literary device in a work of fiction. Think of it as a gulag that is much harder to escape from.
@@freesk8 Yes the Order wouldn't want the monks to escape their place of worship. "It's always fun to see how bad, bad writing can get", from Sunset Blvd.
Episode 2 pls
