He's been good all season and was superb in the Prem semi and final, hopefully his form is returning at the right time as Smith has proved he's not consistently good enough to hold the England 10 shirt.

He’s consistently better than Farrell. Just look at the win ratio, the number of tries smith vs Farrell, the try scoring record . It all points to Smith being the better player.
When all is said and done & putting his talent and skills to one side, it is his leadership and determination to drive standards that sets him apart. You listen to/watch the England & Saracens players- it is him that they follow. Not a Courtney Lawes or a Maro Itoje. If you know rugby, you know that England are not 'better off' without this man.. and I'm a huge Quins fan.

Sorry thought this was a joke. Yes England is not a great rugby Nation but if you have to rate Farrell as one of your best ever you are actually saying what a lack of world class players you have had. Wilkinson was World Class truly World Class. Only player to have to go to tackle rehab as an English Captain and international for more than 10 years. I think its a disgrace that he has not been banded for much longer. Late high tackles gets some rugby players banned for 6 months sometimes.He has had a 2 week , 5 week and 3 week ban gor shoulder to head tackles - shoulder to head not truly dangerous as some biased fans say ? Wilkinson had class , in his attitude and in his play. And you are proud of him being your leader ?

Why is it that the Boks known for their abrasive play, power, aggression and mental resilience attract some fans who are so precious and fragile that they just fixate on a player like Farrell. These same fans happily call him dirty and unsportsmanlike and yet get hysterical and offended when the same accusations are put on one of their own players.
@@patrickchilds2987 perhaps you are right. As supporters of our teams, we will always have a one-sided view. However, I thought I brought balance to the discussion by mentioning Johnny. He was brilliant. Better than Carter and Sexton in my opinion and infinitely better than Farrell. Owen does not have Johnny's skill and didn't attract attention to himself by his arrogance and theatrics on the field. He truly let his ability to the talking.

Eben Etzebeth gets into scraps in most of the games he is involved in yet is lauded for his aggressive nature. Farrell is just as aggresive and combative, just funny how the big, bad bok fans seem to hate it. Having just won his 6th prem title i would say that Farrell has definately let his ability do the talking. listen to the recent rugby pod, or the rugby union weekly, Farrell is often asked to play a different way in an England shirt than he would at prem level. its not nessecarily his problem. its really annoying because rugby isnt about 'oh hes better, or hes not as good' just enjoy the players and the games in the spirit of the game. I was at twickenham for the prem final and was sat with a bunch of saffers and can only say what lovely people they were, they all stood for the anthem and sang along and it was a really good time. just annoying how people go online and comment like its football. just enjoy Farrell for who he is, enjoy watching him play and just get on with it, its not a competition to see which fan is correct and which fan isnt

It's a fantastic tribute video but unfortunately at the moment… Owen Farrell will be going down in history as part of the most talent rich English Back line incapable of winning anything. I don't blame him, it's a coaching issue. Any Southern Hemisphere coach given the abundance of talent between 10 and 15 in England at the moment would be winning every trophy at a canter
Agree coaching issue. The fact that Eddie never solved the 10 shirt strategy with 3 awesome fly halves is telling. Farrell, Ford, Smith should have given us awesome bench strength but he just kept chopping and changing and nothing ever settled down.
Whenever I want to see a true number 10 masterclass I will load up Dan Carter highlights, the complete package. Farrell is a overrated dirty grub !
