To all the nurses and paramedics out there: you are ANGELS and highly appreciated! What you do every day and even night is truly amazing! May the Lord bless you and your loved ones! Stay safe and have a nice day/evening/night where ever you are right now! Love to y'all ❤️
This is just gorgeous! Thank you so so much for leaving this lovely message of support. I am sure there are so many people who needed to hear this today😍❤️ xxx
Home health nurse here. Mascara transfer hack..use an eyeshadow brush with oil controlled setting spray to coat the lashes after they've dried. Oily skin lady here and it works every time! I can now wear any mascara I want. Love your channel ️xoxoxo
Janice Tidwell must try your tip for my lashes! I usually apply my fave mascara, then do my final coat with a waterproof mascara. (My lashes are short, so I don't get a good look with just waterproof). Keeps everything in place all day, AND because the waterproof is over a regular mascara it comes off super easy, not like when you only use a waterproof one!
Retired nurse due to disability. ......and I REALLY miss it! I worked in several areas because I was a nurse forever! Obviously I started in general med/surg which is a common starting point for incoming nurses. I've done OR nursing. .....which I loved because I did everything having to do with surgery. ......prepped patients, post op, scrub nurse.....we rotated where I worked. My absolute favorite and what I did for the longest time was labor and delivery. I felt so honored to be able to help someone bring a new life into the world. Of course not all deliveries are perfect or happy, but I just did what the patient needed for support.
Well that explains a lot. After 20+ surgeries & near death experiences; I have immense respect for nurses. You're the angels and grace between pain & healing. Much love for your dedication.
As I was watching this video, I was thinking, “I wonder if this would hold up to my 12-hour shifts...” THEN YOU SAID YOU WERE A NURSE!!!!!!! WHAT?!? That’s so amazing! I am a nurse in labor and delivery, so I’m running around and sweating and touching my face all night long. Thank you so much for your amazing channel and everything you do! Much respect to you!
LOVED hearing you are a nurse/medic! I worked 6 years in a trauma/STEMI/stroke/psych center in the ER and now I'm the stroke program coordinator! I can so relate to getting that, "where the heck are you" phone call... I love that your videos are made for long wear makeup, def my life!!
Although I am not in the nursing field, I have a low immune system (+ multiple other disorders) and spend a lot of time in hospital. I just want to thank all of you in this field. Not only do you look after people, save lives, work terrible hours for little money etc, but you also have lives/kids and often do not get the recognition for all your hard work. It takes a brilliant person to be able to deal with all the people/illnesses/injuries etc & I would love to thank every one of you individually. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
Hi Nikkia, I am an Anaesthetic Nurse and work in the Operating Suite. I was actually a beauty therapist before becoming a nurse - make up must be the gateway to medical! Absolutely LOVE all of your vids girl!! xx
Oh my gosh I love this video! I work in retail starting at 7:30am and this is literally how I do my makeup everyday for work (minus the falsies) and my coworkers always joke about me probably getting up at 4am to get ready. It literally takes me 15 minutes to get out the door and look amazing all day. I love how you mentioned the brushes too, most days I only use two different brushes and a sponge. Too easy. ❤️
From a family of nurses and I TOTALLY knew you were a nurse. Your ponytail, cheerful but no nonsense attitude and clinical three-day trials just scream PA & Nurse. You're SO practical and friendly, realistic. Love you more, now.
I was a veterinary technician/nurse after my first 4 Years at uni.. decided to go back to uni for the second time to do human nursing. Just finished my first year here in Brisbane.. I’ve loved it!! Can not wait to begin my career as a nurse!! Nikkia you were the first beauty you tuber I started watching... now I’m obsessed!! Haha
Come from a family with 10 nurses/medically trained members scattered throughout different specialties so when you have an injury or question in our family there's usually someone to ask which comes in handy post op questions call my aunt, pregnancy concerns? There's a cousin for that too! Love all the comments from the nursing community. My husband got a call that his work was struck by lightning last night and not to come in since there was no power so every time his phone rang today I thought it was them asking where he was and that he was supposed to be there hours ago. Can't wait for the blush video my mom keeps asking me to do her makeup one day but she has a completely different face shape and skin type and the video will help me tons!
To all the nurses and paramedics out there! Well done. Thank you for being patient, helpful and great company. You really help make the hospital trips far less daunting.
I’m not a nurse but I still work in the medical field as an X-ray tech! You’re one of my favorites! Keep doing great! Congratulations to you and Brandon!
Yay for nurses! I am a paediatric trauma nurse, and I can't imagine doing anything else! After a long shift one of my favourite things to do is pull out my laptop and watch your tutorials. So much love to you Nikkia! xo
Home health nurse (and mom) here! All I had time to do this morning was finishing powder, bronzer, a sweep of transition color and mascara. Love watching your videos while I'm doing my documentation! :)
Before, my makeup routine always led to a hit or miss result. It was a delight when it looked good but it still never lasted past 3 hours. Now, even on a bad day, I don't even worry about it. I smack it on with the tips given to me on this channel (and foundation because my old one was horrific) and it will take me through the whole day. And the skincare tips are brilliant! Thank you, Nikkia, for being a genuine and relatable - because who bothers with 20 different brushes? - makeup artist and have a wonderful day.
I work as a geriatric nurse. So yes hard work but even with nursing home residents I still like to look my best. Your my favorite person to watch. Your real and down to earth plus you tell it like it is. Love love love your videos. So glad you pop out so many because I love learning so much stuff. Also like the dupes videos bc save money if it's got a cheaper version. Thanks a million girl. Your the best
RN for 40 years in adult critical care and teaching at the University level. ❤️ it!!!! Love your videos, girrrlll! And YES if I’m late...panic sets in as no one is covering your patients (doing your work) and you’re behind all day.
I adore you even more knowing you were a nurse/medic! I am a nurse in the ICU and watching your videos has really helped me so so much with a long lasting makeup routine. I have seriously oily skin and I am so thankful for your channel!!
I absolutely love ALL your videos!!! I started my career as a paramedic 25 years ago (my license is still current)! I have been a pediatric emergency room nurse for 15 years and still love every minute of it!! Love you girl!
I started following you not even realizing you were a nurse/paramedic. But let me tell you it made me love you even more finding that out. I am an EMT here in America and I know the struggle of trying to keep the face together while being on the go. Thanks for being so awesome!
Not a nurse, but a medic in the emergency room!! You should talk about your experience as a nurse/medic because I’m really curious to know how much of a difference there is between Australia and the States!! 💜💜
I'd love to hear about your nurse/medic experience too! I'm a travel nurse and the difference in nursing from state to state is huge, so I'm curious how nursing is different in another country! Love your videos, I just spent a ton of money on Dermalogica on your recommendation and it has worked wonders on my oily skin. Thank you !
Yep, I’m a nurse and am specialised in adult high dependency neurosciences. Knowing how to keep makeup looking good on long and busy shifts is awesome. X
Thank you for sharing a quick makeup routine especially for nurses and everyone in the medical field! I work in psychiatric nursing, sometimes doubles and this video will definitely help. Loved learning you were in nursing as well. That’s my new favorite thing about you!
Former nurse and EMT here, but I have been out of the field now for 13 years. Back then the whole make up thing was a whole lot different so it literally only took 5 minutes to do my entire face lol. Boy how things have changed. I have a 14 year old and I am trying so hard to keep up with her so I watch all of your videos along with a few others then I will try and practice on myself. But I just cannot get the hang of it (especially eye make up, the rest I am ok with, the eyes have beaten me LOL) She is having her 14th birthday in a few weeks and I was not able to do much for her big 13th birthday. So we have spent a small fortune on just about everything that was on her list.....plus some. I told her this birthday would pay for her first year of college. But thank you for all of your videos and thank you for being such genuine and humble person (you are the only one I will watch do the un boxing of PR stuff).. Enough rambling.. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more videos
Student nurse here! I graduate December 7 and then I’ll start working as a Labor and Delivery nurse! 💗💙 your tips have literally changed my makeup/skincare world around!!
I’m in Hospice nursing on the weekends, but I️ use to work at a hospital (did oncology, PICC team, step down, observation, outpatient chemo, etc) so I️ feel ya girl. I’ve had many different jobs and that Makeup has to stay ON! lol you’re amazing! Love your videos!
Hi I'm a neonatal nurse from the u.k doing 12 hour shifts so your tip from your videos about gerrard cosmetics setting spray has defiantly helped keep my make up lasting all day x
Private duty nurse right here ✋🏻 but i’ve also worked at peds, surgical icu and medical-surgical floors. I only found out a month ago that you used to work as a nurse. Love all your videos, your oily skin tutorials has really helped me. Can you please do a tutorial on how you do your makeup when you were still working as a nurse, also the products that you use for your hospital duty? Would really love to see your makeup routine in preparation for those long and sometimes toxic shifts. Thank you!❤️
I am an Oncology nurse. I work nights and I love, love ,love your setting spray. I got 2 the day it launched. I have very p ily skin and it has been a ae changer for me. I love watching your videos and thank you for taking the time to do them. Your videos have changed makeup totally. My husband tells everyday how beautiful I am and comments on makeup😊. I am 44 and my patients never believe I am.
I am an Infectious Disease/travel (tropical) Medicine nurse for 13 years now!!! But I'm on bedrest right now about to have a baby on November 21. I have hyperemisis gravidarum (like Princess Kate) so I've been sick my entire pregnancy and have lost almost 40 lbs. The baby is healthy though!! UA-cam including your videoes has helped me pass the time so thank you so much!!!
I love that you have been taking the time to like everyone's comments and even commenting on them yourself. You're such a sweetheart and you can tell that you really appreciate and care about your fans. Thanks for this easy 10 minute tutorial!😍
Knew there was a reason I liked you so much! I'm a former EMT and current Med/surg nurse in the United States. I love wearing a full face of makeup to work and absolutely need it to stay put!
Hi Nikkia!!! Love you so much! ❤ Im a "nurse aide " (préposée aux bénéficiaires en français) in a hospital, i've been working night shift for about 15 Years now and i really think it's the best job in the world!! 😁
Normally, when I’m in a rush and only have 10 minutes, I do my eyebrows, a little concealer for my dark circles (more of my skin tone instead of a lighter shade), and mascara. Primer, foundation, and regular concealer would take me forever and would be more if I have 20-25 minutes or more to spare for makeup. When I do foundation and setting powder I have to set it with your Gerard cosmetics setting spray cause it really melts the powdery look, so it looks skin-like and lasts super long time. Love the rose smell too 🌹 Really great product!
Hey Nikkia! Im a nurse too specialised and working in critical/intensive care mainly heart surgery and medicine. Shout out to all medical staff out there 😘
Registered nurse over here! On a VIP cardiac medical surgical telemetry unit 🙌🏼love your channel since I’m oily and you’ve helped me keep my makeup in place all shift long!! 💕
I had no idea you’re a nurse! I’ve been a nurse for 14 years. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time since I’m a fellow oily skin girl too. Thanks for all the amazing tips!
Seriously all of my fav products are ones you have recommended!!! You're my go to beauty guru. I'm a nurse as well. Have been for almost 12 years. I work labour and delivery, mom and baby, and paediatrics I have totally had those days where I wake up late or get that call from work it is the worst feeling!! Love the rose spray! It is my go to now!!
You have become my favorite UA-camr! I just love you for so many reasons! I can definitely see you as a nurse. You have that natural caring and compassionate quality. Loved this video. It is so helpful and very much appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, nurse over here! I am a psychiatric nurse but work in a nursing home, I work with eldery people who suffer from dementia. I really love my job, older people just stole my heart
Hello nikkia, can u please film a video on how to clean the brushes n sponges! How often do u clean them and how to manage keeping them nice n clean please pkease please

You are such an inspiration❤️❤️❤️ Love ya,angel in the sickroom💕

I'm a flight/ER nurse AAAAANNNNDDD I have oily skin!! No WONDER I love your videos, haha!! Seriously though...I just about won't buy any makeup product without being like..."Has Nikkia reviewed this yet?!?!?!" Keep it up! I particularly loved this everyday full-face tutorial. I'd love to see more along these lines! Especially several options for everyday-type eye looks.
I am a med/surg nurse in California. I am a makeup junkie and truly love watching your videos! My sister-in-law is a labor and delivery nurse in California who also loves makeup and watching your videos. Nursing is a a demanding, but rewarding career. I am blessed to have a career that allows me to help people and their families on an everyday basis. Its not always unicorns and rainbows everyday and not everyone is kind or understanding, but I still wouldn’t change it for the world. Maybe some videos for a little amped up makeup looks for a nurse in a hospital setting and how to get the makeup to last the 12 hour shift. I know a lot of colleagues and nursing friends who would be interested. Just a thought.....
I worked as a Certified Nurses Aide in a nursing home and LOVED it. I used to match my mascara to my scrubs like teal, pink, navy blue. Not always flattering but it was a touch of fun. My mom currently lives with my husband and I so I'm doing a bit of it all in taking care of her. But she doesn't get the fun mascara looks. lol
I have just graduate my nursing degree and used to not be able to get long wear out of my makeup. Now thanks to your videos I can! :) Brought your setting spray the other day hope it arrives soon!!
I’m currently in nursing school and graduate this December! I currently work as a nurse extern in a NICU and hope to work there as a nurse:) PLEASE do a video on how to keep your makeup in place during a 12 hour shift!!
HI! Fellow RN from New Jersey :) (hospital to home care supervisor) love everything about it! I have to say step-down telemetry has been my favorite. Love you girl! (also fellow oily skin gal)

I'm a nurse too lovey! In the NHS in England on the hospital wards. Also have oily skin and need make up to stay for the whole 12.5 hour shifts I do- day and night shifts! Love, Love, love your channel!
I'm a new graduate nurse on a general medicine unit in a teaching hospital. Been off orientation for two months now! You definitely need some of these tricks to last 12 hours.
Hi Nikkia love and appreciate all you do!! I’m a CNA, so this video really helps me out as a mother of 3 I’m always looking to save some time lol, thanks a million! Love ya💕💕
I'm a nurse 🖒newly qualified nurse in cardiology, only in my 3rd week 😶 scary stuff but couldn't imagine doing anything else and i love how you are a fellow nurse too, you are what I aim to be ❤❤
This is one of my favorite makeup looks you’ve done!! 💕 Super simple, natural and affordable! I’m not a nurse but am student teaching, so I need a look like this one that will last all day. Definitely gonna check out one of those blush, highlighting, and contour kits. 😊😊
Hi Nikkia. As always loving your clips. As a Children's Epilepsy Nurse Specialist, I'm up early and out the door for a 10 hour day. 10 minutes is my maximum make up time. I have tried some of these products and yes they have great day wear. I'm not a fan of beauty blenders, but I think it's more my technique! Can you do a make tutorial for mature skin, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE?
i love these sorts of videos. i have to wake up early because i live about an hour away from school so i only really have time to do my eyes and thats if i wanna get up on time.
To all the nurses and paramedics out there: you are ANGELS and highly appreciated! What you do every day and even night is truly amazing! May the Lord bless you and your loved ones! Stay safe and have a nice day/evening/night where ever you are right now! Love to y'all ❤️

UA-cam including your videoes has helped me pass the time so thank you so much!!!
I feel your misery! I had that with both of my kids too. Congratulations on your upcoming baby. :)
So sorry to hear you are going through a hard time! Please send my love to your little one and I hope my videos continue to bring you happiness :) xx
Im a "nurse aide " (préposée aux bénéficiaires en français) in a hospital, i've been working night shift for about 15 Years now and i really think it's the best job in the world!!
Love the rose smell too 🌹
Really great product!
Hey Nikkia!
Im a nurse too specialised and working in critical/intensive care mainly heart surgery and medicine. Shout out to all medical staff out there 😘

I love that you’re so intelligent & don’t pretend to be uneducated. So many UA-camrs act ditzy.
