It would be rude to visit Leeds without sampling the remarkable surviving batch of iconic B7TL Geminis in almost new condition still operating out of Bramley garage with their loud cooling fans. So in this video we ride on what is currently the loudest of the cooling fan B7s based there on its regular haunt of route 40 between Seacroft and Leeds.

I was on this the other day on he 19a and I bloody loved it my mum didn't though
YOU KNOW THE HOOVER ISNT A GOOD THING SO SAYING YOU LOVE IT IS LIKE LOVING A BROKEN TOY
@@FirstSmit The new streetdecks in Leeds still use Hoovers though.
Oh it is very loud aha
Okay, now this wins the best award of Dyson impressions!
I’m not usually a... *fan* of hoovers but this one really is worth documenting! It’s a rather unusual one I must say
Best driver in Leeds too :P
the limit for its speed is higher than usual
This bus has a Euro 3 engine with ZF Ecomat gearbox with no ULEZ insurance. Congrats Alex, I bet your lungs were filled with smoke from that tailpipe.
I think I need my earplugs. I have sensitive hearing and there is no way I can take this bus for like two seconds without me crying because of ear pain.
I’m surprised Alex survived this bus ride for that long without earplugs, aye man this guy needs the Bluestar 1569 award for surviving very bad noise pollution! 😂
dam what a hoover that is lol
Oooh yass!!!
Quite a few of our KP54 B7TL Geminis we're hoovers but nothing compared to this monstrous beast!!
I went on this bus!
It’s so loud it’s got a broken cooling fan
Imagine this bus on the motorway 🛣
Imagine this bus in Omsi 2
Oh no rip bus
yes this bus in omsi = complete chaos (for me anyway :) )
Aye it certainly is on its way out, much louder than the others!
It's not just this one. The 2004 B7TLs that run in Leeds mostly have loud cooling fans.
Motorway = i n f i n i t e d e c i b e l s
THAT SOUNDS EPIC
Agreed
definitely sounds like a hoover
Oooh yes must agree there!
Love these a lot there is like about 5 like this where I live in Dundee
Ah fair doos, very nice!
@@AndMoreCentral hahaha not at 6 in the morning when they roar past your house and wake you up 😂😂 but there is a good chance I’m preserving a non cooling fan one (SP54CGU) or (SP54CGZ) both beasts
we had afew of these in edinburgh but the fans were usually limited to around 1100rpm or what the engine sounds like around the 3:20-3:25 mark. but i have never really heard a b7tl cooling fan use the whole rpm range like this one. only cooling fans that used to sound like this were on the old leyland alexander varients back in the late 90s/00's
Why are b7tls so looouuud???
I know of some that are even louder than this!!!
We get some on some of the school bus routes and my friends think that I am strange because I can tell when a certain bus is arriving by the sound!!!
Its to do with how long the fan is kept on and at what setting its on. Clearly this is on max setting to keep the bus cool that is a sign the vehicle is suffering some mechanical issue that its easier to fix with the fan
@@AndMoreCentral Also, the fan follows the revs of the engine.
the limit for the cooling fan is very high usually its lower sounds decent
I went on buses like these in doncaster
Sounds like the cooling fan is stuck on
That sounds amazing! I love it, however as this is the loudest hoover ever on any bus, The loud cooling fan actually means it’s unhealthy don’t know if you knew that. But the sound snakes up for it! Great video 👍😀
That doesn't sound too good on idle that one so definitely not a lot of power!
