I am dumbfounded , I just can't imagine having that kind of money to purchase stuff you never use and then paid on storage for years. UNBELIEVABLE.

Honestly it’s like a disease we have here in America. Over consumption is a silent transfer of wealth to the 1%, and as a country we would be better off severely limiting ourselves. I’m working on myself. 💜
Absolutely, makes you realise how acquisitive we are…what a waste, who really needs all that….I’m thinking it may be the contents of a store perhaps .
It's not really that much in the grand scheme of things - a couple of hundred thousand $$. If you are in the top 1%, and your income is over $600K, it is perfectly possible over a 10 or 15 year period.

I've watched a lot of your videos and I read some of the comments. So many negative people out there who don't like to see people get on in the world. It is sad that people lose their property, for one reason or another, but that is not your fault and the storage people have to free up spaces, they have a business to run. If you don't buy them somebody else will. And no, you are not an expert on every item that you find, who is! I love your excitement when you open stuff and that you work as a family. My son is moving from England to Chicago, this month, with his job. I hope he meets people like you. Keep going strong.

You need to invest in a magnetic stick up light to put in the dark units. Great unit.
And a truckload of pocket knives 😂
Put a few box cutters in the trucks you use! Better yet bring a tackle box full of things you could use at storage units.Also,leave a fold up table an folding chair,an extra boxes in your truck to have handy for filming.Someone mentioned a stick up light,or other kind,dont know if theres outlets in the units to plug in, but just in case,to make life easier!

This unit is a UNIT. It's so good it is kinda overwhelming.
Most of the clothes brands mentioned (exception Ralph Lauren) don't do well on eBay. BUT in 6 years they will be vintage dead stock.
The cosmetics, hard goods was most exciting to me.
The furs make me sad, thinking how many animals were skinned for each coat, and stole. Hopefully they will finally get used at least.

Hudson's is the old, nice J.L.Huson department store. They were purchased by Marshall Fields. Originated in Detroit, MI. The blankets are totally different, they are Hudson Bay blankets, very pricey. Great unit.
