  • For the 74th Anniversary of the start of the Korean War, elementary school students from Ansan Elementary School in Seoul, South Korea wrote these thank you cards for America's Korean War veterans. These cards are so precious and truly moving. I wanted to share these cards with you and also share my thoughts on them, before I send them on to many Korean War veterans across the US.
I also thought I should record reading these aloud so that our Korean War veterans and families of fallen heroes, can feel as if they received and are reading these beautiful cards. I know I don't have enough cards to send out to everyone, so I thought I would record it so that it can be shared with as many people as possible.
I especially thank my friend, US Army Retired Colonel Steve Tharp and Colonel Lim of Korean War Veterans Association in South Korea, and to all the students, teachers and principal of Ansan Elementary School.
I am overjoyed to share these with you and encourage you to share this video to any Korean War veteran and families to extend these heartfelt thanks from the Korean kids.
May God always bless our Korean War veterans for their immeasurable courage and sacrifice. We, Koreans never forget! as these cards say, so perfectly!

Hi Jay and Mary, it is always so good to hear from you. I continue to think of your father, US Air Force Captain James A. Foulks, Jr, who is still Missing in Action when his bomber plane was shot down in North Korea on October 23, 1951.. My prayers continue and pray for him to be found and returned home to you. You and your family have made immeasurable sacrifices as you had to grow up without your father. We, Koreans are so deeply sorry for the loss of precious lives including your father's life in the Korean War. I am so grateful and blessed to know you and Mary and to have learned your father's story. May God always bless you and your family. With everlasting love and gratitude to you and to all families of Korean War fallen heroes who are still missing in action, Susan

Wow! Yujun's letter is so cute and well written. I am very proud of what the 3rd grade elementary school student thinks. He is a great kid with a good family education. I am very curious whose son it is....
