Finally I've found useful and helpful karting tips! I've been searching for them 2 weeks, but all what popped up was a clickbait. This channel is different. Thank you so much!

I’ve watched many videos on track driving, and I think this is the most useful, concise, and actionable advice I’ve seen. It’s really helpful, thanks!

One of the biggest problems with 'arrive and drive' karting is the karts set up. Although the karts might all look exactly the same, that is absolutely far from the truth. The karts will all have varying amounts of time they've spent being used on the track. This will mean that certain areas of the kart will have more or less amounts wear and tear than another kart will have.
It might surprise a lot of people to find out that there are a whole host of things that you can do to a kart that have a big effect on the way that it performs. And I'm not talking about the performance of the engine. I'm referring to the way that the kart will handle under cornering and the amount of grip that it can generate through the tyres.
One of the biggest ways that a kart will generate grip and will determine it's handling characteristics is through the amount of flex in the chassis under hard cornering. Generally, the more the chassis flexes, then the more grip it will generate. So if a particular older chassis has been used a lot more than another much newer one, then it can quite often flex a fair bit more, simply due to the extra wear and tear it has. This chassis flex can be controlled and manipulated in a number of ways, such as loosening or tightening the nylock nuts and bolts that secure the floorpan to the chassis framework. The tigher the nuts and bolts, the less the chassis will flex. There are other ways to control this flex, such as loosening or tightening the sidepods and the seat 'stays'. But, as strange as it may sound, it is possible to have too much grip.
This tends to cause the inside rear wheel to lift off the track excessively under cornering and can make the rear of the kart 'hop' or 'skip' in the corners. Also, using spacers to move the front and rear wheels in and out effectively making the kart wider or more narrow also has a major effect on the amount of grip that it has.
Because of these variables it can often mean that when you are at a rental event it very frequently means that you will drive a different kart from one race heat to the next.
Obviously this can have a negative effect on your lap times and overall race pace as the karts that you drive in each individual heats, semi finals and finals will probably be a different kart each time. As such, they can have slightly (or sometimes quite substantially) different handling traits and characteristics.
Therfore you should always speak to the organisers before the start of the event and try to ensure (as much as possible) that you will use the same kart for every race that you take part in.
It can cause you all sorts of problems when the first kart that you drove handed very neutrally and balanced. But then the next kart you get in has inherent understeer or oversteer.
It's a lot easier to drive consistently and have very similar lap times every lap when the kart is consistent. And this is achieved the easiest by using the same kart each time you go on the circuit.
I apologise once again for yet another extremely long comment and explanation.
But karting is a deceptively complicated sport and the kart itself is a much more complexed and complicated piece of racing equipment than many people may realise.

I do enjoy tracks that put a huge scoring monitor up in a spot you can glance at quickly but it's usually too hard to read the actual time as i fly by. I can usually only determine where i rank in list lap time for the session (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc).
I did drive at one place on a slow day that didn't have their official timing system running, but the owner attached one of those lap computers on the steering wheel for me and i loved that. I could see my time each lap, and even realized the red and green lights were telling me if i was running faster or slower than my best lap in real time.
Overall, I struggle with being really aware of the marks i need to use to be consistent in each corner, but i find i am naturally fairly consistent within a couple of tenths lap to lap and i do get faster each lap in general.

Majority of the tracks are in Qatar - Losail, Villagio and Desert Falls. There are also brief clips of Muscat Speedway and Jordan Speed Centre in the video.

    Losail closed for covid 😭.
How does desert falls compare? Is it electric or petrol? Also, how is the feel of the track?
Thanks In advance and great content 👌

Desert Falls is a good alternative track to Losail. The go karts a new petrol Biz Karts. The track layout has a nice flow and the key is to keep the revs high. I will be posting a dedicated track guide of Desert Falls this week. Stay tuned!
