The Conversation - Podcast Session with Annica Theissen and Raica Coelho

Annica Theissen and Raica Coelho, both 11th-grade students at the German Higher Private School Windhoek (DHPS), were chosen to participate in the NASA Space School, held in Houston, Texas, from July 17th to 31st, 2023. Alongside 40 participants from various corners of the globe, they delved into the inner workings of NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), an organization typically off-limits to the public. They engaged in enlightening discussions with astronauts, toured the Houston Space Center and several museums, and collaborated with their international peers on a simulated Mars mission. This mission culminated in a presentation at the workshop's conclusion.
Being selected among 40 global participants was a source of immense pride for these two Namibian students. Additionally, they both received the Flag Award in recognition of their exceptional individual and team contributions during the project. DHPS shares in this pride and eagerly anticipates more remarkable educational experiences for these young individuals in the United States.
