This elegant model aircraft is equipped with a 5055-390KV brushless outrunner motor, 80A ESC, and scale 4-blade propeller. With the recommended 6S 4000-5000mAh lipo battery, the Spitfire MK.IXc has a level top speed of 125kph/75mph, with tall vertical power and 6-10 minutes of flight time depending on throttle management.
Delivering capable grass handling performance, the main landing gear use shock absorbing Oleo struts, a main wheel diameter of 85mm, and a tail wheel diameter of 45mm. Metal reinforcement plates, 5mm thick steel strut pins and axles, and metal trunions work together with the suspension struts and soft wheels to dampen the forces caused by operating this aircraft on rough runways.
The FlightLine RC 1600mm Spitfire Mk.IXc was optimized for sport scale performance, gentle handling, and an almost effortless flying experience, suitable for intermediate pilots and above. Importantly, a very predictable stall and power on recovery make the aircraft easy to control throughout all stages of flight. Day-Bright LEDs also aid in visibility of this large and beautiful foam electric model aircraft.

Great video of such a classic plane. I’m a Yank and it’s always been my favorite aircraft. Really nice piloting in the wind conditions. The hat really topped that flight off. 👍👍👍 Cheers

One of the most capable of the WWII fighters. Not to mention the beautiful design as well. In my opinion it was only rivaled by the F4-U Corsair.

Yeah! they need something, that standard electric motor sound is so boring, for a nice looking plane like that there should be a nice engine sound to go with it. It's a shame Hobbyking stopped doing their sound module.

I realise I'm a bit late to finding this video,. But does any think these foam planes could in any way be converted to run a small gas or a glow engine,. Say 0.91four stroke glow or a 15cc two stroke gas
why the hell would you want to pop a messy noisy glow motor into a foam model ? the wing loading would probably double with extra weight inc fuel, the fuel would strip the paint off it in seconds - what ever floats your boat russ !!!!!
@@tbobborap1 I prefer IC power is all,. And looking for a Spitfire model of this size to suit engine power and transport, storage ect. If I could find a damaged one for very cheap I could use as moulds to fibreglass my own. Gas engines arnt to messy,. Glow,. Yup,. Are very messy,. Depending on set up. Question though,. Weight of engine over batteries? Evens out though aye sometimes
ive used glows and petrols for over 30yrs so i know how messy it gets, i cant imagine wanting to go to all the grief of putting a ply bkd and engine bearers and engine with a heavier prop and spinner and fuel tank into a model clearly designed for electric with light wing loading ? plus the whole nose would have to be strengthened to take the weight of the engine and prop and mount and spinner, the original battery is further back so the weight distribution is different, but dont let me put you off russ, i look forward to a video of her flying and you proving me wrong ! best regards - pete, happy landings m8,
@@tbobborap1 makes you about the same age as I then. Sorry I asked. Don't know where I went wrong in asking. Guess I'll search for answers elsewhere for a model of this size closer to my liking. Got to love the convenience and smell of burning fossil fuels. Something I love about engines over motors
what is it with people that ask for advice but dont like what they hear then play wounded ????? thats my advice to you russ - no offence intended, just my take on your decision, i cant help it if it doesent fit in with your ideas but YOU ASKED ! maybe it is folly to invest so much time in this project but as i said before russ - i look forward to being proved wrong and hope all goes well for you !!!!!!! ps - i love petrol now, havent got so many glow models now (too small and bloody stink - lol) im into turbines now and they smell lovely too, but i do love the smell of my petrol warbirds when flying them - there - we have something in common - lol
