Less foggy. I've been watching on my 70" TV screen so haven't commented for a while. Thank you for your persistence in posting these!
In a world that appears increasingly dystopian your video are a little slice of sanity and a very welcome respite
Thank you Mads 🙏
Also the landscape shot 👌
Less Foggy👍👍👍
Less foggy, I like the large birch in the background.
The Image with the spider webs looks like in a dream. For my the vertikal looks better. It is intensiver than it brings the viewer more in the moment and the soul of this moment 👍👍👍❤️❤️
The vertical photo made me notice the beautiful, round spiderweb down in the heather. Lovely work!
What a gorgeous morning. I prefer the less fog images and the horizontal of the sunbeams. 28 would be a perfect day here 😀.
I like the less foggy photo, there is something about the framing and contrast within the scene that appeals to me.
Seizing the moment and trying again, the best two tips I've seen.
Right hand version with less fog on the second set of photos for sure. The heather pops more. Big fan of you channel. Greetings from Alabama
A nice walk in the woods. Hope you slept well afterwards. 👍🥂
More amazing photos and composition advice! Thanks for taking me along!
When I want to see beautiful images I need to look no further than a Mads video. All of them are absolutely stunning. You asked us to make some choices so in these images I'd go for the less fog and the horizontal sunbeam image. It really was worth getting out of bed for that morning's photography, Mads. Thank you.
kn you so much, Mary! I really appreciate such a kind comment :)
I like the photo with less fog, all beautiful. Love your adventures and photos 😊
I love the landscape shot of the sunbeams 😊❤
I prefer the less foggy one. The colors were stunning
Absolutely stunning Mads...........the landscape style appeals more for me, I am extremely envious of your wonderful country with the beautiful heather. Enjoy your warm 28C days.......that is pleasant here in Australia 😅
At the 10 min comparison the lighting in the less fog pic (right side) was definitely the better one in my opinion. The light rays in the fog were really nice and that was a great pic.
The vertical shot is my preferred shot @15:28. Thanks for your marvelous videos.
Final photo is magical!
I’m watching this from the comfort of my living room enjoying every minute. Thank you for bringing this magical beauty to us. You are a true master.
I posted my other comment too soon. The horizontal photo of the sunbeams is absolutely gorgeous, and the tiny tree covered in cobwebs might be my favorite. Thanks for an outstanding video. I like to be able to compare multiple compositions of the same scene. Very educational.
Super video Mads. I'm leaning towards the two photos with less fog and liked the horizontal over the vertical on the sunbeam shots. But my favorite was the "Happy little Tree" (to quote Bob Ross) at the end of your outing.
Another great video Mads.
Stunning conditions.
I preferred the foggy image and the horizontal one with the sunbeams.
The spider webs image's at the end we awesome.
Look forward to seeing your next video.
Lovely conditions Mads. Whilst I like the fog I prefer the shots with less fog in them - the light seems better
I love the sunbeam shots!! 😍
Dear Mads, your foto's are so beautiful. Every time again!! I think the horizontal foto of the sunbeam with the spiderweb tree is absolutly the best. But ofcourse That is a matter of tast. Thank you for this great vlog. I love it. I am looking forward for the next.
Another great video. I love your enthusiasm. I prefer the less foggy photo with more vibrant colors.
10:00 less fog :) the touch of light on the canopy adds to the image, and seeing more of the background forest is also very nice. Nice shot!
With less fog the subject tree usually stands out better, drws the eye better, and shows the subject with more detail on contrast. Best when fog only shrounds the background.
I love all the shots of the heather as I don’t think it grows wild here where I live. I loved the horizontal photo the best. 🤩
1) the berches: the foggy one
2) the lonely tree: the second one (the first one has some branches on the right that are a little distracting)
3) the spiderweb tree: the horizontal one
But with all of these photos, I would be happy to have them framed on my wall.
Love both the sunbeam photos ❤️👍🏻
What a glorious morning! I liked the less fog because of the details showing up in the background and I liked the horizontal of the sunbeams. So beautiful ❤️
I like the ones with fog and the one with horizontal composition. Great job Mads!
I love the ones with less fog and i love the vertical composition for the sun beams. ❤ But, all are beautiful. Heather and trees are my favourite combination, and a little fog = sensational. ❤❤❤
I actually like the seperation on the left photo at 4:33 . You get some purple, some green and some purple again.
Thanks for your perseverance Mads! Beautiful shots! I lean towards the photos with less fog because of the color accentuation. And the vertical shot for the spider webs but the horizontal shot with the sunbeams is wonderful!
These are amazing photographs. They are all absolutely beautiful.
Mads I always enjoy watching your videos. You create so many compelling images on each shoot it seems. You also have a knack for finding fog. I wonder if you would mind taking part of one of your videos to share what apps you use and how you seem to always find fog on your morning shoots. Perhaps its where you live or what you tend to shoot but it would be helpful to learn how one can predict conditions like this.
Thanks Jim, I have shared it in earlier videos and I'll release a forest photography tutorial in a couple of weeks where I go even more in depth with it :) But, Yr, ClearOutside, Windy.com, the Danish meteorological institution + experience are my sources :)
Oh wow, Mads! I love both photos! They bring quite different feelings. The left portrait one is somewhat intimate and leaves room for interpretation and dreaming; the right landscape one just takes your breath away with its powerful sun beams and optimism :)
Get well soon! And I hope to meet you again!
The less foggy one is my favorite, I like the extra colors in it.
Love this video Mads!!! Hope you get better soon !
@ 8:14 i find the misty one better, more separation and not so busy as the photo on the right. Although the light on the back tree i find really pleasing.
@ 10:03 the one with less fog is my favorite ..... more layers and still not too busy + the light on the tree is super.
@13:05 i like the horizontal more ... the sunbeams are incredible and i like the visual flow more.
The picture at the end of the video is great .... like a little Christmas tree with decorations ;)
Thanks Mads for sharing this video and photos !!!
Beautiful images as always. Thank you for your dedication and get well soon.
As always, your videos and both helpful and beautiful. I always wonder if my own photos would look better if I viewed them with the same lovely music you use! 😊
The foggy one from the 1st comparison… but the less foggy one from the 2nd comparison 😃👍🏻
The final photo with the small tree and webs is my favorite. For the other comparisons, I go for the ones with less fog.
Loved the photo at about 9:54 and then the following sunbeam ones both vertical and horizontal.
Beautiful video as always mate. Fantastic content. You are always welcome down here in Cornwall UK to get some epic shots :)
Favorite one was one with less fog❤
Regarding the little tree, I think both photos look great and I get what you're saying about the green strip breaking up the flow, but I think the tree stands out so much better in that one. On the right side photo the foreground competes with the tree. That's not to say it doesn't work for me, it's just that each has its good points and bad points.
Thank you for the beautiful impressions!
The horizontal image at 13:09 could still be cropped on the right side or below. This would make the main motif stand out even better!
Beautiful.... @13:07 I like both equally! Simply beautiful stuff Mads.
Love your videos , Mads . Thanks a lot ❤
These are stunning. For the single tree I prefer the one with less fog. For the incredible photos with the Heather and sunbeams I prefer the portrait orientation! Beautiful work Mads!
Beautiful images as always. xxx
Beautiful shots. I have to find out if there is heather in California. I like the photos with less fog. They look like more like paintings. Wow! It must be spider season!
Considering you were so tired you did a fantastic job of filming a vlog on the fly like that ! Goes to show how your dedication and efforts were rewarded ! Some lovely images really like the conditions you had , for me i liked the images with less fog just worked so much better for the images i felt. The image with the sunrays was really nice in both orientations , now you have both you have options on its uses . Great video mate, hope your well, take care !
13:06 Both are good, but I choose the vertical one, although the sunbeams was not strong as than the horizontal and missed the looming tree on right, the spider web in midground caught my eyes.
Top Drawer as always, I prefer the foggy shots, however, the light rays at the end took my crown ... congrats on the 200!!
Great video as usual. I think I prefer the one with a little less fog. Love that you fill your videos with lots of great images. You really have a photographers eye even when your sick and tired!
Beautiful shots, Mads. What a gorgeous morning. It's difficult to pick a favorite. As usual, it's your enthusiasm that is my favorite. I can't wait to see your adventures from the Dolomites.
I like the foggy one. Never go half-fog, full-fog all the way. It also simplifies the background and just leaves 3 pattern shapes: the leaves on the left and right, the V shape of the two trees in the middle, and the V of the flower patches in the foreground.
A little bit beautiful pictures thank you very much
Excellent photos and instructive chat. I also could not work out which ones of the pairs I preferred. Might depend on mood really.
Compositionally I agree, the right hand version is better. In addition to the reasons you mentioned (foreground) I think the angle on the tree itself is better. Even though the 'outlier' bare branches are asymmetrical (as compared to the left hand image) the tree overall looks better from this angle. However, color-wise I do like the cooler, bluer background, stronger heather color and darker green of the tree in the left photo.
P.S. - We're forecast to reach 35C today... 🙂
As always all beautiful compositions. In answer to your questions I prefer the picture with the less fog because of the more vibrant heather and the horizontal composition because I think the shape fits the scene better.
What an awesome morning Mads , beautiful images , I prefer the horizontal version of the sunbeams photo and possibly the less foggy of the others but there's very little to choose between them
Another excellent video. Congratulations on 200k subscribers.
I love your videos! Gorgeous shots... My preference are the photos with 'less' fog and the horizontal format vs. the vertical.
Congrats on reaching 200,000 subscribers. Well, well deserved. Also, I prefer the photo with less fog. The light on the tree makes that photo special IMO.
And the horizontal, rather then the vertical. Thanks
Sorry about the cold Mads, I sympathise, as I have the Flu. For me the photos with slightly less fog do it for me. The vertical photo likewise. The web photos are superb, as is the whole video. Thank you.
The less foggy images would be my preference as you have some beautiful colour detail in the images but still have some separation with the fog. The images of the sunlight shining through and spider webs were stunning Mads but in terms of preference I loved the landscape version more, so much beautiful detail to look at. Hope you are having a great time in Ireland and look forward to seeing what you captured from your trip
Outstanding photos.
Excelent video, as always! For the 2 photos side-by-side (min 4:40), I feel preferring the one on the right hand side. I feel work better and my eyes noticed the S curve in the foreground. Yes, the right hand one is my favorite😀
I prefer the foggy one personally. Looks quite ghostly 👻 👌🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
👍Excelente y me gusta vertical
I prefer the less foggy ones ! It gives more room for color harmony. However if there were yellow sun rays, I'd prefer the more foggy ones
Christmas tree is the best!
Nice video Mads ! I’ve always struggled with woodland Forrest photography never being able to capture the depth of the scene but your use of a long lens is brilliant. It provides much better depth and three dimensionality while compressing the scene BRAVO 👏 . For the scene with the tree cobwebs perhaps if you kept the vertical but did a panorama with three verticals it might have given you more compositional cropping choices 🤷♂️ I truly love how you do not oversaturate the Heather ! Enjoy the rest of Ireland ! Best -
Excellent thanks
On the foggy tree shot, looks like you added a lot of contrast and intensity (dehaze) to the tree.
Added about the same to both of them
That last image would look great on a Christmas card.
Superb video. Thanks 👍🙂
Vertical for sure😊
Less foggy tree light is better 👍
As a person who is not really enjoying spiders, the drone footage showing all the cobwebs in the trees was … terrifying 😅 But the landscape photos were amazing. 🤩
Great video mads. ❤ as I mentioned earlier, I would like you to come along with me to Ladakh it is Mars on earth. An amazing place. If i can get an appointment with you I can drive by and show you the location photos I took in 2012
At 13:00, I wonder if it would make sense to have two vertical shots, for both right and left tree from the horizontal image because both look interesting (together with their respective foregrounds) but when together, they kind of compete against each other.
Good advice about returning to composition’s during different atmospheric conditions, light, weather conditions, time of day, time of year, nice results. Question, do leave stabilization’s on or off when on tripod?
I prefer the less foggy photo at 8:12 and 10:02.
Take care Mads
Great video (as always) - I have one question... Some time ago I saw your review of the Tamron 50-400 and I see that you have been using it for some time. As a pro landscape photographer, are you still happy with it?
👍 I love fogg👏
Flot foto's. The last photo, maybe a B&W candidate?
Super video as usual Mads 🙂. Go get some sleep now!
Hi. Just curious about where your focal point would be on the heather shots. I've watched your video on that subject, but often struggle and resort to focus stacking. Did you focus 1/3 of the way in? I understand if you can't answer. ✌️
