Oh wow, i thought for sure the dragonscale would be on the easy side - mine has been remarkably unproblematic, 8 leaves, and no change when i repotted it weeks ago. Meanwhile i can't keep a philo brasil alive lmao
You seem to struggle with jewel alocasia. I'm in San Diego and those are the easier ones for me. My Zebrina is constantly curly and I can't get my pink dragon to give more than 3 leaves.
With the Melo I would get something that focuses on the roots, like maybe a mycorrhizal inoculant or clonex solution and let it focus on growing a decent root system so it will have an easier time holding onto leaves. That sucks that you have to get rid of your plants, are you not moving locally? Will you get replacements once you get where you're going?
Oooh, I’ll look into that, thanks! And no, I’m moving to a different country lol so would need to arrange for a phyto and that’s just not worth it to me 😂 worry not though, I’ll start buying plants as soon as I’ve relocated 🤣
im gonna be that person xD My melo is doing great, its in soil but honestly, i dont do anything special to it, must be lucky. On the other hand my variegated frydeck is part of the the two leave club too .. :(
Seems that fortunately the Alocasias I have are all on the easy side of your list. I only have five of them. The wish list plant is the Alocasia cuprea. I don't have the Aocasias melo so I cannot give you any help with that one.
That Red Secret leaf is INSANE! I'm amazed they get that big 😲
Right?! I was shooketh when it came out 😻
Thanks for the video! Im so nervous about getting an Alocasia, so this helped. Lol

Lol plants are weird lmao
I only own one Alocasia, a Bambino and it is growing like abeast. I love her.
All of these are so beautiful!

Those plants are evil! I purchased a polly and it is just short stems now.
Sir, these are certainly fine alocasia examples.

Well GOOD FOR YOU I GUESS 😂😂😂 Maybe if I get another one I'll try it in soil, we shall see 😄
I love your content! I was wondering what do you film with and what mic do you use ? 🥰🥰🥰
I use the sony zv-1 camera and a rode mic, I have a couple (🤣) but this video in particular was filmed with the Rode VideoMicro, hope that helps!
@@JosieYapsALot also do you have your cuprea in a green house ?
@@manuelita467 no! Regular household humidity but I live in the UK so for me that like 40-50% 😄
Is the Amazonica the same as the Polly? They look so similar
yep, polly is just a nickname for the amazonia

Haha good taste 🤣 and I wouldn’t recommend the melo unless you crave some drama in your life 🤣
My African Mask has rust colored thumb print😢
