RIP my Hoya burtonniae, Hoya Rangsan, Variegated String of Pearls, String of Hearts Silver Glory, Philodendron White Princess, Homalomena Lemon Lime, too many succulents to mention that succumbed to the nasty little Mealybugs, grrrr, and the biggest heartbreak of all my Philodendron serpens, sob. It happens to the best of us and was probably not meant to be. LOL I loved this video, thank you for sharing your misfortunes 🤣
Bahahahahahahahaha omfg I absolutely love you already and I’m not even through your first video! 😂 (I just subbed!!) ❤ oh shit I didn’t know I need a microscope! Lol I have 500 houseplants ffs! Lol
All of my Calatheas kicked the bucket. Less than 20% humidity this winter I guess will do that. All but 2 of my Hoya have also entered suspended animation. Hope they make it with my new humidifier.
I bought a Hoya a long time ago that came as a cutting. It didn’t show any sign of wanting to grow and I think a few months have passed (I bought others with it and they began growing new leaves). I wanted to kind of quit on it but it eventually did grow new leaves. Idk, some Hoyas need to stay underneath a grow light for a few months before they decide it’s time to grow a new life 🥲
I guess pon is not for all type of plants.. Hoyas nd dischidias like moss / coco coir / wood chips. You can try this.. Maybe it will help 🙂💚🤞 For me in this year I'm also facing root rot of my monstera albo 🥲 i don't know if i could save her.
Hi Jilly, I struggled with Dischidia too for a while and nearly gave up on growing them. I decided to give one another try so I bought a very small unrooted cutting and placed it into a small pot of pon with drainage but no reservoir. I watered the pon through and let it completely dry for a couple of days before watering through again each time and now it is growing like crazy. They hate having wet feet so to say. The secret is they need to have that period of dryness and also no direct light. Even under a growlight I ensure it is shielded from the light hitting it directly by placing under a taller, bushier plant which in my case is under a large leafed hoya. When it gets too big for it's space I am going to put it to the side of a window that won't get direct sun hitting it but bright enough light for it's needs. My previous ones were in damp moss and this still caused them to rot. I hope this helps you🤞💚🌿
String of pearls... succulent. A desert plant. I have seen these grown outside, but I am in So. Cal. which is part desert, so there is that. Humidity-bad, though I know there are other succulents that are from rain forests. It can be a bit confusing. You have mentioned a lot of things rotting. Did you ever figure out why this happened? Is it over watering possibly? I think we all have experienced plants dying for what ever reason. It is what it is.
I don’t think I made that clear, the SoP didn’t live in the prop box, it was just there while I was moving so like 1-2 days but apparently that was enough 🤣 And I’m not sure what caused the rot really. All of the plants I talked about (except for the calathea) lived in pon. Could be that I didn’t let them dry out enough but who knows 🤣
I lost 3 majesty palms and a parlor palm, a Boston fern and a spider baby pup; on the other hand, I've successfully grown several dracaena, yucca, a peperomia, boat lilies, snake plant and a croton.
I killed a Warocqueanum. It had mealies and I doused it with alcohol. It killed the mealies good. But then I didn't rinse the substrate and it basically killed the root system. :(
i killed the real frydek (variagated - rotted on me within 2 weeks from getting it). philodendron plowmanii small baby, pastazanum small baby, mcdowell small baby, sp colombia cutting, philo polypoidiodies cutting, alocasia nobilis. RIP to all.
It’s strangely comforting knowing this happens to everyone.
I have a pot of gold that isn’t cooperating and I swear I keep her around out of spite 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 yaaaassss spite her into cooperation 🤣

Ooof monstera albo hurtsssss. If my dischidia starts to rot again I’ll try it in soil 🤣 thanks foe the tip ❤️
@@JosieYapsALot absolutely 🥺
I hear you on the dischidia! I have at least 30 thriving hoyas and they are allegedly the same care?! But I haven't yet been able to keep one alive.
Ok so it’s clearly not me that’s the problem, it’s the plant 🤣🤣

@@Carey.S75 that’s my theory, I’m gonna start letting it dry out and see if that helps 🤣❤️
@@Carey.S75 Thank you, maybe I'll try again in the spring!
good luck 🤞

i am pretty confident that the macrophylla pot of gold will give you some growth, it just may take several years :-D
Schrödinger's Hoya 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
**edit** to respect the man’s name. Laughing too hard to notice at first 😂😂😂
Bahahahhaa I didn’t even notice
Hahaha glad someone found it funny 🤣❤️

Merry Christmas 💚❤️
Frydek gone. One of the Bambinos gone. Purple Sword gone. Hoya Sigillatus gone. Calathea gone. Maranta gone 😭. My Hoya Serpens is really struggling.
String of pearls, i just can‘t keep it alive. I tried everything 😅

Your eyebrows are looking good.
Omg I can't believe you noticed that 🤣❤️ Thanks though, I went to a salon and was very self conscious about them bc it felt weird 🤣
Maybe check for mites in your hoya Macrophilla! 😱
Macrophylla*
