Best cornerback in the NBA. He been jumpin routes since his rookie year in Boston. What most people don't realize, is some of the best defensive plays TA ever made you'll never see a highlight of. Why? Because many times he does such a great job overplaying that his guy never even touches the ball. Used to do that to Kobe a lot.
TA probably the best defender in the league but no way can he play this much help without everyone on his team being very alert and smart about how they play defense. Respect to everyone on the Grizzlies including the coaches.
Absolutely incredible how hard he works on each individual possession. Constantly denying the ball, fighting through screens, and locking up players with greater size. Anticipates extremely well.
offensive players, yea yea, we see them everywhere.... but defensive players? defenders that are so good they shine above others for their defense?.. very few... and that deserves huge respect, huge fan of tony allen, i would watch memphis games just for him.
If he could make his layups and his open 3s at a high rate he would be in the top 5 SGs in the league. Defensively he is probably the best wing (I think he is better than Kawhi). Offensively he is not even mediocre though...
love your videos. I'm a grizz fan, watched nearly every game. TA is a beast but I think if somebody compiled all the missed layups or just counted how many he had over the entire year it would be a record or something.
I miss him in Boston. He never cared who he guarded or how much taller they were. Dude was a hound dog on defense. He'll be up in Durant and LeBron's face and didn't care.
he can D sf, sg and pg no prob. at the 2 hes the best defender. my 1st team all defense. avery Bradley. tony allen. kawhi Leonard. dremond green. hassan Whiteside.
hey man idk if u still run this page or even look at it any more but i miss these role players highlights these have always been fun to watch and appreciate all the work you do I hope one day you come back and post some recent ones I could honestly watch these highlights all day
I dont necessarily have my top 10 best defenders list, but I have my top 5 in no order, Scottie, Rodman, Jordan, Hakeem, and now Allen. He just deserves to be here. He is an amazing defender. If the one who excites me on offense is Curry, then the one on defense is Allen. I really see the "lockdown defense" in him
+RRoyce G so? He didn't say best defensive shooting guards either. A.I. couldn't play defense so what? Ray Allen was lethal and his 3 point shooting alone puts him up there. And look at his numbers
i will tell u this allen may be the best defender when it comes to off ball , pass lanes , intersects but in my opinion his not that disciplined when on ball .
he wouldnt be able to shoot because this takes a lot of energy. the whole reason hes on the court is to score, kerr doesnt care if he doesnt play defense.
Tony Allen plays hip and interceptions why couldn't players on offense hit a spin move like Curry he should've stepped up so he wouldn't be able to block his face.

That’s one of the hardest thing to do defensively, overplaying, ball denial.
FIRST TEAM ALL DEFENSE
TA probably the best defender in the league but no way can he play this much help without everyone on his team being very alert and smart about how they play defense. Respect to everyone on the Grizzlies including the coaches.
he'll never get the respect he deserves even he's easily one of the greatest on ball defenders the nba has ever seen
Even off ball do you see how good he was at harassing people and denying the ball from even reaching them
Absolutely incredible how hard he works on each individual possession. Constantly denying the ball, fighting through screens, and locking up players with greater size. Anticipates extremely well.
0:25 probably the greatest steal in NBA history
no cap
2:00 was one of the best defensive recoveries I've ever seen.
if you think thats good you should watch jordan's defensive highlights

I can't give him better than kawhi but I love Allen. top 10 shooting guard in my eyes
+Jeremiah Uncle Grandpa Hall he means better than kawahi defensively
Jules Hamilton I don't think he's better defensively
Jeremiah Uncle Grandpa Hall
well i think so. Allen has locked more notable people then kawahi
Jules Hamilton not really, kawhi Leonard won finals MVP for his defee
Tony allen, avery bradley and marcus smart great defensive draft picks by the celtics
love your videos. I'm a grizz fan, watched nearly every game. TA is a beast but I think if somebody compiled all the missed layups or just counted how many he had over the entire year it would be a record or something.
What a great player.. can't stop watchin
I miss him in Boston. He never cared who he guarded or how much taller they were.
Dude was a hound dog on defense. He'll be up in Durant and LeBron's face and didn't care.
imagine this guy on the clippers right now and if you added maybe artest, battier, and thybulle on that roster along with kawhi, PG, pat bev.... damn
I miss him
Been waiting for this one.
On a 5v5 I always try to have a guy like him on my team. It makes everything more easy.
+Eduardo Bonilla lmao im that guy lol... bad at shooting, small but good blocking and steal skills XD
FaZe_LiLLARD me kinda of that
Tony Allen the best defensive guard in the NBA
9 minutes of defensive highlights and its just in 2015 🤯
If he just improve his open jumpers or even 3s, he will be one of the top SGs in nba today easily.
Lol everyone's been saying that his whole career
Kobe's gift brought me here
he can D sf, sg and pg no prob. at the 2 hes the best defender. my 1st team all defense. avery Bradley. tony allen. kawhi Leonard. dremond green. hassan Whiteside.
Very underrated
Very impressive

Love me some grindfather, but notice that block by Vincanity at 1:55 .....
The man is a great defender, but how was that not a foul at 0:33
Great D. Great D!!!
FIRST TEAM ALL DEFEEENSEEE BABBYYYYY!!!!÷÷
1:03 pure instinct
I know this is a Tony Allen vid, but check out old-ass Vince Carter meeting Dirk at the rim: 1:55.
The man that was almost "the Kobe stopper"
This is literally how it is in 2k20 with the steals
Tony Allen is a perimeter lockdown
As Chris Smoove would say, Tony Allen has 99 play recognition
Steven Adams please.
Spontaneously combus " first team all defense!"
The glove before the claw
1:45 was fucking amazing lmao
can u do a Marc Gasol highlight video?
This just gave me drgasm
FIRST TEAM
ALL DEFENSE
monster
I watched this after watching Harden lowlights
Imagine if tony Allen had James Harden’s offensive alongside his amazing defensive 😰literally would be a GOD💯💯💯
Imagine the cardio necessary to play as hard as TA on D and have as many iso and pick and rolls a game as James.
Derrick Favors please!
whos better tony allen or jimmy butler. at the sg
u think top 5 def sg of all time?
what's ya'll list
+Eddie N put it like this, who would you put ahead of him?
+slimmee22 Mj,AI,Kobe,Wade,Sam Jones,jerry west,ray allen,george gervin,reggie miller,drexler off the top of my head
Can't forget Bruce Bowen.
+shoot210 Ray Allen... Boi you tripping lol. I grew up a sonics fan. That man was mediocre on D. He didn't say best offensive SG's of all time. Lol
+RRoyce G so? He didn't say best defensive shooting guards either. A.I. couldn't play defense so what? Ray Allen was lethal and his 3 point shooting alone puts him up there. And look at his numbers
Trevor Ariza
He is inconsistent on offense and defense
Tony or jimmy defensively?
Jimmy is taller, quicker and younger but overall I think Allen is better
Tony Allen would be great for the cavs 2017 finals run. Tony Allen is abetter defender than Leonard from the San Antonio spurs.
FIRST TEAM!!!!
Would of been a great free safety
He is the true "glove"
nope don't disrespect Gary Payton
ok I take it back he could be the new glove
He could be the Mitten
mr. layup
first team all defence
Imagine If the Knicks Could acquire TA
Rose
Allen
Melo
Porzingis
Noah
Im not a knicks fan But Imagine
Davante Manning still would be terrible
they Have no hope
有樱木的味道哈哈
1st TEAM ALL DEFENSE
Still angry he never won the Defensive Player of the Year.
i will tell u this allen may be the best defender when it comes to off ball , pass lanes , intersects but in my opinion his not that disciplined when on ball .
I got to say it again First Team all defense
First Team not second
Such a bad offensive player, yet one of the best defenders
If steph curry had defense like this pftt
he wouldnt be able to shoot because this takes a lot of energy. the whole reason hes on the court is to score, kerr doesnt care if he doesnt play defense.
Tony Allen plays hip and interceptions why couldn't players on offense hit a spin move like Curry he should've stepped up so he wouldn't be able to block his face.
A lot of missed layups off of breakaways
I bet klay glad he retired
I'm here because of kobe bryant haha
made a career by playing defense
He is just like Gary Payton atleast on defense Gary was good for 20 plus every night on offense with 8 or 9 assists on the side.
If T.A were to play in todays nba… he might get fouled out every other game. Since the league is now mad soft.
dirty allen
CJ McCollum is first team all gay
