I have a stove top pressure cooker made by German company Fissler. LOVE them as most anything is ready in a flash because the small amount of water is ready in a few minutes to pressurize the pot. I Pressure Cook the potatoes and they are done in 10-12 mins. I leave the skin on for more nutrition. Add butter and cream and pulse in the Vitamix. OR you can use the Vitamix Immersion Blender. Yummy.
hello! i was searching for a mashed potato recipe for my 13 yr old who said he did not want his mashed potato clumpy. I tried your recipe yesterday with the vitamix and he and everyone in my family loved it!!! Thank you and really love your channel!!
I mash my potatoes in an older Sunbeam Mixmaster mixer. The beater blades are dull enough not to get potatoe glue.My Mom and Stepmom made them this way-very silky smooth,no lumps.
Add garlic, chopped onions, and a little less milk. Garlic whipped potatoes, and add the chopped onions later along with the butter. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
When it comes to mashed potatoes everyone has a different preference. I like mine clumpy or chunky same as my peanut butter and the rest of the family like both items very creamy. Of course they win all the time because I can’t bother . I’ll get my way when I’m an empty nester🤷♀️😀
instead of putting it on stove make them wet and microwave them with the potato express. trust me. then put them in cold water and using your fingers to move the skin right off.
Try peeling, slicing, and cooking your potatoes sous vide at 185 F with some butter for an hour and a half. The flavor that you don't boil away from your potatoes will blow your mind. Cream with mayonnaise and for a kick, a bit of wasabi or horseradish.
I think the potatoes would have a starch change as if you did them in a food processor. I make sauce, like a rich milk, butter, , cream, and cream cheese, and then add them to cooked potatoes that were hand mashed Am I wrong about the potatoes?
Right idea but wrong technique. Once the milk and butter (which should have been 1/3 the amount of milk in this demo) were heated, the potatoes should have been pulsed to maintain their thick, lump free consistency.
@@Randy_589 Yeah, but if it dropped in there by accident ... god help you. Anything could happen, including something like a metal shard going straight into your eye.

I like the skin so even easier for me.
It looks more like soup potatoes.

How did the milk get hot?
On the 'soup setting' on the 750 it makes the contents hot by longer blending.

Cadmar Business Suite people in other countries have different takes on how they like their mashed potatoes.
this is a lifesaver!! thank you!
mashed potatoes look so creamy it looks like foam
Would have appreciated watching the mash come out of the VM, watched in suspense to see that happen.
Too much milk
right
Crystal D Way too much. That was potato soup.
Just add some more butter and some heavy whipping cream.
I think the difference is regional.
Or just use a potato masher or a hand mixer to mash potatoes.
Why doesn't it turn into glue?
use yukon potatoes instead of russets....will be less gooey
Where is the recipe? Thank you Chef Lionel!
This is what you get when youtube hides all the dislikes. Otherwise, I would have known this is awful!!!
Bonjour, bonjour 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's a potato soup not mashed potatoes 😝
Oh jesus christ just no. If you mix potatoes in a blender, all you're gonna get is a glue. That texture is awful, trust me!
maybe just use it to soup/heat the milk and butter?
Pure glue 🤮
glue.....chef my ass
What’s up with the fake French accent?
How stupid sticking a spoon in a running Vitamix blender.

It does not have to be close to the blade to get damaged, a running Vitamix can vacuum it into it.
yuck
NO. I did this and it turned into GLUE!!
Oh my gods, that looks revolting. It's only fit for putting up wallpaper 😱
I subscribed earlier..... then now I unsubscribed.....
I’d be so sick...🤢🤢
Fake accent!!!!
