I'm a huge Ajax fan. He came back to Ajax when he was 34 and won 2 titles back-to-back. When the club didn't want to renew his contract in '83 he went to the rival team, Feyenoord, and won the title with them! He also won Dutch footballer of the year that season at 36 years old.
The one who made the biggest impact as a player and coach. He had as others mentioned a unique sense of logic/way of reasoning. It often sounds so simple but brilliant at the same time. Also off the field he made an impact and initiated the Johan Cruyff foundation and the Johan Cruyff Academy.
Legendary man. He spoke in riddles (for us normal people) sometimes. He was a true visionary with an incredible deep understanding of the game. FC Barcelona is what it is because they adapted his vision. Jamal (the new wonderboy) will make it possible for the club to keep playing the aggressive offensive game. Great video again. Always like an outsiders perspective when it comes to The Netherlands.
10:53 not entirely true, sir. But they also played for their club for loyalty, not play for money. Legendary SC Heerenveen player Abe Lenstra got scouted by Itsalian Inter Milan, multiple times, spoke to him, asked him, come play for us, we want you in our team. the went back to Italy, send a blanc check
Cruijff is a Dutch football icon. I'm a Feyenoord (Rotterdam) fan but he was the best. When he got into an argument with AJAX, he transferred to their archrivals Feyenoord. And that season Feyenoord won the title! 😂 But thanks to Cruijff and some others we can boast a load of great players: Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Wouters, Van Persie, Van Nistelrooy, Van der Sar, Bergkamp, Kluivert, Van der Vaart, Schneider, Van Bronkhorts, Haan, Rep, Van Hanegem, De brothers De Boer, the brothers Van de Kerkhof, Reiziger, the brothers Koeman, Van Breukelen, Neeskens, Janssen, Kuijt, I could go on. They were all superstars in football. BTW I love the AFL. That's real footie.
9:07 want to hear of another, yet overlooked scorer? Ronald Koeman, a defender with a higher scoring rate on average then Messi.. Yes you read correct.. almost record international for the Dutch National 11
Oh nice you have reacted to the clip i have send you. This clip summarizes mainly his football career, but there is much more to learn about his football ideologie and the things he did for FC Barcelona while being the manager there. I am curious what you want to include in this Netherlands channel? There are more than 20 other football players worth reacting too, but there is probably other things you want to know about this small country. So let me know what you want to learn about next. I can provide some videos about the dutch culture, the people, the food, the history, some music, some comedy, traditions, etc What spikes youre interests the most?
Sooo what you are saying is that you are latching on to a hype? 😂 haha nothing wrong with that obviously. I enjoy ' Netherlands reactions ' And Johan Cruijff... well... legend

Dennis Bergkamp - when football becomes art is a great video

Back then in 1971-1974 Cruijff was the very last on the planet. (Maybe even to this day, but it is hard to compare)
Nice

Never call Football soccer. That's only the name in a few unimportant football countries!
You need to check history. The British used to call it soccer even in my early youth.
