I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but in the recent years I have been moving and living a lot in different countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to the nature of my work. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
» MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group bagged the "Gold Medal" in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
» WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

Absolutely agree with you, right now he is one of the best vocalists in the world.
Though the way he sings that made me a die hard fan especially when he sings ballads, I could cry just by listening to his song without knowing a word.

This song itself is unique. The song was composed for 20+ years (If I am not wrong). No singer could satisfy the requirement of the composer except Zhou Shen. He attempted once many years back but was rejected. This time round, it was permitted to sing and perform.

This song was composed by Yin Yue and Gao Xiaosong. Zhou Shen wanted to sing it when he was younger but Gao didn't give his permission because he thought that Zhou Shen wasn't ready for it yet. Five years later Zhou Shen recorded the song and sent the demo to Gao. This time Gao allowed him to perform the song. I love the mysterious vibe.
There are lots of interpretations of the lyrics on the internet but in one comment someone mentioned what the songwriter said about the meaning. It is about the loneliness and hopelessness of the "old intellectuals," a group of people who wasted and gave away their talents and potential because they were unfortunate enough to spend their young adult and adult years in one of the worst events in modern Chinese history: the Cultural Revolution.

This song has been in the drawer for several years, and Zhou Shen is the first public singer, because the author thinks that Zhou Shen has met the conditions.
A good song usually has many cover singers, but this one has almost none, no one is sure to sing and perform well, like Zhou Shen.

Thank you for your professional analysis of our favorite ZhouShen! We love him so much!!! He just turned 30 on 9/29 and as usual sang live to his fans on his birthday, this time it was over 4 hrs!
That is definitely one of his best performance.

Thank you for the reaction video! Zhou Shen is classically trained and in my opinion, one of the best vocalists of his generation! As a fellow singer myself, I love playing “spot the technique” for this song, from the vocal fry to his closed throat style to the crazy run in the end. I hope you’ll listen to more of his songs (such as Big Fish!)! My favorite part about him is he is equally a good storyteller as he is a vocalist, which is quite rare nowadays.
To me, he is the best. His singing skills are really out of this world.
