Pilots tend to be shot WAY before the rest of a season is. They are the advert to the studio to get the actual go ahead to make the rest of the show. So you will often find defining characteristics that are in the rest of the show are missing. Lucifer has a similar error with it's pilot. Lucifer is shot at point blank range in the pilot and the bullets do nothing. But every time after that happens he is hurt. A lot of traits that make a show come in that period between the pilot and the season one shoot. The major premise will be there, but the quirks often only show up later once they have cause to dig deeper into the characters.

i’m so happy with the stylized coloring choice change from season one. You can barely even see wilson during the clip in 3:06 and the extremely high contrast was iconic but distracting after a while. I could see memes being formatted around JUST the coloring
