Nooooo...find, or comission a pipe. Believe me, your life will start anew. Plus no more idiotic power band, which in itself is a sufficient selling point. But. The sound my man. My bit of fluff at the time would have the outer fence gates open before I arrived, she could hear me leaving my folks house on the other side of the city bowl. Sure. Annoy neighbours. But you'll also fucking well be HEARD and then SEEN. Euro sound laws are ludicrous in my opinion. Of all my biker mates, and I'd say 85% were of the "There are old bikers and bold bikers, but no old bold biker!" variety, ie not the loose nut one finds on many bikes that connects the handle bars to the seat....I'm the only one still residing on this planet. Now I'm not saying they are all dead becuase they had stupid stock silent exhausts, but a few of them...like Frasier who got plowed into while driving along the inside ramp exit lane to be literally flattend by a humungous poes in an SUV who decided his time was more important than every body else, and they should pay with their's for his inability to read the road ahead and he plowed through 4 lanes of traffic nearly causing an extra wave of accidents only to wipe Frasier and his gixer 750. Which had a stock pipe. Read sounded like an angry sewing machine. Now if he'd been louder than anything else around him...well...its not healthy to speculate but its probably healther to not HAVE to. Yknow? Go get a pipe brother man.
I just picked up a 1995 VFR 750 with a 2brothers exhaust can, but the sealant was old and crumbling so I removed it to renew it, but then I lost the springs. I didn't want to pay for new springs so I just clamped a piece of exhaust pipe on and called it good. I've yet to hear a better sounding exhaust anywhere.
@@Grisli777 Your custom exhaust sounds the best imho and significantly better than mine. Mine has a tendency to pop a bit too much on deceleration. It also has a ringing twang that I don't much care for, but when it only cost me around $25.00 I'm not going to complain. However, I would like to know how you customized yours. It looks like one of those Delkevic stumpy pipes, no?
I had a VFR 750F 1991 and I assure you that the first silencer is not the original, from what you can see it has already been modified, greetings from Argentina.
Very close to my old sound, I had a pipe custom built by a retired nuclear physist. Power band become the full rev counter, fuel consumption...errr...well lets not talk about that...but the sound guys *sobs* nothing else quite like that gear driven cam whine with a throaty bass line from a demonic hell pipe
After 5 yrs of commenting on this video I still am sticking with the answer I gave back then the #2 custom exhaust sounds the best and thanks for posting as we have the same bike I love the sound that can be made from the vfr and others like r 1 cross plane technology or aprilia v4rs
Custom for sure sounds like a bike should
Thank you 👌💪
I've kept mine stock on my 1990 VFR 750 but the custom sounds great!
