Sandev you must understand that rock plantings are not for short period of time they are basically forever. You can easily maintain and refresh portions of very compacted and old soil on a rock planting using careful method's to work into them, root prune and then replace substrate, all of this work is done while the tree remains on the slab. This maintenance every 3-5 years will be more than enough for this tree to last forever.
JJ Henters I cant understand the almost standoffish nature of the interviewer while standing in front of one of the most original masters that’s alive in our time!!!
I absolutely admire your channel but please try to understand his way of doing. You were the first to me to be „different“ from (Japonese) bonsai style with lesser wireing. But I think „Westerners“ should look and preserve more their own style of culture. In these times even bonsai is becoming „political“ ;-)
Love to listen to people who are in harmony with nature thank you
These sessions with Pall are wonderful and affirming of my own amateur approach to growing trees in pots
I totally agree with Walter's viewpoints on this 👍
Thank you for the video. It's a very nice tree.

I love how Walt always calls out all the dogma that traditional bonsai puts in your head
I’m pretty sure that you won’t give a fig, but don’t like this tree……
