In our crew, a kite reel leash on waist belt is the most popular option. Keeps it out of your feet and out of the way, plus gets you a little extra distance to separate board and wing in wave situations.
The Kaohi Grip Double Coil Calf Foil Leash has it's 2 coils spun in opposite directions to reduce it's ability to tangle in itself. If your wing leash is a coil and your board leash is a coil they can get seriously tangled together. I like a straight (stretchy) leash on my wing - attached to my harness, and a calf leash for my board.
Thank you for sharing the stoke, my friend. 🤙🏽 Glad you found this one helpful. You'd think leashes would be a more simple topic, right? Good winds! -Aaron
For the Kaohi Double Coil Calf leash, do you have a recommendation for length? It seems they sell a 5 foot and a 6 foot. Currently I am on a 9 foot straight leash that drags when wingfoiling (on a 5 foot 2 inch board) and looking to upgrade to eliminate the leash drag

I'd go 6' for a 5' and 6' board if you want to share. If buying one for each get a 5' and a 6'. -Tucker
@@MACkiteboarding I only have a single wing board at 5 foot 2 inch. So it sounds like the recommendation is the 5 foot leash?
@@jbwiden Correct. Sorry, was reading too fast. 5' is good
Hi. How long should the calf leash be to avoid the board shooting back? Have a 7.7 dw board and a 5 wingfoil board. Thx
What is the brand of the waist leash?
Hey Peter! That's gonna be an Ion waist leash. Thanks! - Cado
