thank you this is exactly what I needed right now, I'm pregnant with our second and after an unpleasant experience at the hospital with my first, due to the way I was treated not the birth itself, I wanted to have a home birth. My experience at my first scan was exactly the same as except they were also trying to guilt trip me into just going straight to the hospital again, saying all the "what ifs?" possible. My first pregnancy could not have gone better, was as smooth as butter, and they didn't have any reason to doubt that this one wouldn't be the same. You have now given me the confidence boost I needed to go down the path I have chosen and prove them wrong! Thank you x
💟🤗🤗🤗i am a plus size women i loved just watching your video! I am a plus size women and ive choosen to have a home birth with this being my second pregnancy,i have no other support besides my husband but i am excited and trying to stay positive.glad to know there is someone else out there like me!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm plus size and have considered natural birth but I've heard all these scary things about being overweight and stuff. It's nice to hear a success story
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your positive attitude, you literally made me cry. I hope I can inspire to have your energy and positive outlook when that day comes. ♥
I love hearing your story, though I'm sorry you had the same experience I did. I knew early into my 2nd pregnancy I didn't want the hospital birth I had with my first so I sought out a new local birth center that was getting rave reviews. First appointment and every appointment they had negative comments about my weight. I expect a healthcare provider to make sure I understand that I'm overweight and need to lose weight. I don't expect them to make me feel like crap for gaining a perfectly acceptable less than 30lbs during a pregnancy. I, too, had a homebirth with my second...and then with my third also and hope to be blessed with a fourth pregnancy soon and will have another homebirth. I honestly also really LOVED hearing that you actually lost weight during pregnancy. I like knowing it can be done because I haven't lost the weight yet from my 3rd pregnancy and fear I won't lose any before I get pregnant again. I wouldn't strict diet during pregnancy of course.
Amy Hall thank you for the feed back. honestly dont stress about the weight. just focus on training for the labor. i walked and walked and walked. i breathed through the burn to train for the labor pain. the weight will fall off you if u just move your focus. you can do anything amy. you are powerful. you are strong. wish you the best in your journey. blessings
This was awesome! Thank you for posting! I have had two births in hospital as a plus size woman with no complications with pregnancy or birth related and we are hoping for a home birth once the third is conceived! lol This was very inspiring and encouraging! You go mama! Thrilled for you!
Thank you for sharing this. My husband and I are trying and it took us 4 years to start because I believed I was "too fat" to give birth to a healthy baby. You are an inspiration.
Beautiful story. I'm experiencing similar things I found a midwife because I want to have VBAC but she pushed me away after sending me a bill for hundreds of dollars. So I had to find another provider that would attempt to let me have a vaginal birth. All odds are against me. I'm 275 and only 4 months high blood pressure runs in my family along with diabetes. Also don't have the support that I need. I hear more horrifying stories than you can do it etc, coming across your video made me smile and cry gave me the encouragement that I need. It's very hard to find plus size pregnancy video on vbac it seems it only target smaller women. Thank you for this video I'm now going forward with my decision VBAC here we come. 11/14/17
Shantrelle singleton you can do it. there is nothing that can stop you. God will help you to accomplish your dream birth! do it for your baby! do it for you! keep going ❤💛❤ good luck and i wish you well in your birth journey! thanks for suscribing

Hello love, thus video just calmed me down from my own mini breakdown. thank you for sharing. i want exactly what you experienced. how many pounds was the baby amd how much did you gain?
I’m in early pregnancy... I had my first midwife phone call yesterday. She asked me where I wanted to give birth. I said at home. The first thing she replied was do you know how much you weigh... I was thrown I’m not going to lie! I know I’m overweight, it’s something I’ve tried so hard to tackle over the years but to be honest I don’t look that overweight? I’m a U.K. size 16 which is USA size 12. I’m pretty average in my eyes? She said that there’s a bmi threshold to having a homebirth which it sounds like I’m over which has totally shocked me. I’ve never had a positive experience with doctors or the nhs and Will quite frankly and happily tell anyone I trust my vajayjay and body more than any doctor! I’m adamant I’ll be having a homebirth unless there are literal health concerns that come up through my pregnancy. My weight is not an illness and isn’t a risk. Correlations between weight and illness are not predictors of illness and high risk pregnancies. It’s made me really angry and I’m sad that I already feel like I’m going to have to fight for myself.
Yeah unfortunately this world is extremely fat phobic. If i could have my baby at home with zero complications at a size usa 20 then there is absolutely no reason u can't have your baby safely. I'm sorry you have to fight for yourself. That is exactly what I had to do too. Let me tell you though. It was absolutely worth it . I had a beautiful birth experience and i felt so empowered. With you in power! -selene

Exactly what I'm going through now. I've maintained my weight, I'm 5 months in and still get given crap 😭😤

Amazing story..
natural birth is definitely taboo. everytime I tell people I didn't have any drugs for all 3 they think I am crazy.
MOTHER'S RULE.
YES my experience 100%
