I used to catch your older vids before my own tank time. Your common sense approach and practical tips have led me to become 10g, 5 g hobbyist 🐟, reg listener and coop customer! Thank you.
I’m glad you don’t let the haters influence your decisions and tank set ups. Nor let the rest of the world say our aquarium rooms are ridiculous. 😂 keep up the good work sir!
I hope you have a beginners guide to setting up an air pump on the list of new videos coming out 😅 Maybe the info is in the sponge filters guide and I missed it; I'll have to rewatch it. Somewhere, I read that the check valve should be closer to the pump and I don't think I'd heard that having the line too long could burn out the pump. I've adjusted my tubing to your suggestions from this live and the quick tip in the "60 days seasoned" video, and it's already working much better!
I am that tale of caution of starting with too many tanks because I thought I needed to. Doing anything takes forever and you will never have time to fix all the bugs and focus on the fundamentals. Take it in steps!
Thanks, been paying it some attention. Hopefully it'll look even better in about a month of growth. Still need to catch 1 gold barb before I can plant some micro sword in it.
Thanks for the Little Mention There Cory, I think the Hardest part is getting that video Routine/Consistency but I’ll keep waffling to a camera and hopefully help some beginners 🤷♂️😊
About the shipping on small products. Can you remember when Amazon used to have add-on items that you couldn't buy separately but could add on to orders? Maybe you could do something similar
1:06:53 I feel more secure tying my very tight knots. I double bag anyway so I’d say if you’re getting fish from me just cut the knot off or slice the top of the bag open with a razor like the same one you used to open the box with. I personally am not trusting a rubber band for shipping fish. Now getting fish from the LFS and just driving home sure but not for shipping if not shipping personally yourself. It really doesn’t matter how you close the bag it’s more about how you choose to open it.
Yeah, for a LFS, I want it to open easily. Shipping you need it to withstand being dropped. Double bagged, or a sealing machine can help. Or just use plastic bottles instead of bags :)
The social media cleanse sounds good right about now. The amount of youtubers that just regurgitate the topic of big UA-camrs without actually adding to it or applying it to their own is too much now.
I installed some brower extensions to remove shorts from youtube. I installed an extension to remove suggested posts and groups and other stuff from Facebook. Cleaned up my feeds a ton. Neither help me on mobile. But I'm mostly a desktop/laptop guy
The pre-selected tipping thing at Wall-smart Online drives me nuts for the reasons you mentioned in your example. Among the largest retailers on the planet owned by one of the world's wealthiest families and I need to chip in extra to pay their frontline employees?
Okay- I'm around twenty minutes into this video, and I have to say this: Cory, I think your tanks look great! No they are not all landscaped, but the fish are all healthy and happy, and if that looks good to me. And I am very jealous of that tank you had with vals (or was it sagittaria?) filling the tank to the surface. Hoping to create something like that myself, but so far my vals are all lowriders...
@@AquariumCoop Hey, I'm all for a video about bagging fish! And I'd love to see that old video where you look over (and taste?) old Wardley's goldfish flakes :^D
Would be cool to know if Lamont was keeping fish or a fish room and if yes what fish. I was looking at a Scicce Scuba contactless blue tooth heater, then thought do/should I really being changing temperatures that often that it's worth it?
I haven't played with one, but the stand out thing for me was, the end of it has to be out of the water for the contact chip to work. I believe it's the same tech as touching your credit card to the screen, maybe a bit more range? This just seems harder than adjusting other heaters with a dial or a digital interface on the cord.
Dear Candi - when will the Co-Op be selling the 3D Binocular Eyes, and who was killed from the mini frisbees? I really need to know this information. Thanks in advance!
Cory have you ever thought of getting into big cichlids again, I feel that you have done a lot of smallish fish in that 800 but you never seem to be satisfied with how it comes up. A few, high quality and colorful cichlids like vieja melanura or zonata along with blood parrots would be incredible there. You already have tons of tanks with small fish, why not some big bois over there? I feel that 2-3 big vieja and about 10 parrots would even make it less maintenance than what it is now
I had had blood parrots in the 800g before and did enjoy it. I'm not big on the aggression from central and south American cichlids. Plus I want the 800g to be planted and some of the larger fish can make that quite hard. But I am sure we'll get it fixed out. Upgrading the lighting this week is the goal along with filtration :)
I sometimes wonder what percentage of people realize how much content they never see because the big guys are showing us what they think we’ll like. I miss the days of organic results.
I dont mean to be naggy or annoying, but I sent a super chat but you didnt read it, perhaps it got deleted by accident or something 😅😅😅 Do you have any tips on handling aggressive male livebearers. My males will get fin nippy with the tankmates once they impregnate a female or two. (Brachyrhaphis olomina) or any species.
Dang, I must not have seen it. That happens sometimes if the chat jumps. The only tips for the brachys I have is more plants. Tons of floaters with long roots and tons of ground cover. Out of sight out of mind. So if they can hide away, they get a break which is nice from the males. But it's kind always been a problem with those guys. Just keep making it more and more dense lol.

Interesting and entertaining discussion as always! Thank you so much!
this new camera setup for the livestreams is soooo good, Cory.
Another great live stream, this guy doesn't miss.

You're right. I should do that video. You want the check valve as close to the tank rim as possible.
For the 800 gallon, would love to see a really nice jungle style scape with really long flowy jungle vals
Pastelitos FTW!

@7:45 I know a Larry. No boundaries. If it's there, he eats it.
The tank over your left shoulder is really looking good.

Love your business and your attitude! Hope those ridiculous Trump tariffs don't wreak havoc on your small business. I want to see you guys flourish!

Interesting concept. Might be a nightmare for customer service. But worth considering.

Slow clap on the rubber band method. Thank you for spreading the good word. :] ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Found FWish list channel you tube recently guy with fishroom been in the hobby a few years . he's trying to keep all different types of tanks.

@AquariumCoop true that, although my vieja are chill so far (two 10" melanura and two zonatus, 10" and 12"), they obliterate plants
No commercials for me this time…Replay Crew / liked!
Respect for paying your employees a living wage.
