I absolutely love Matt, and I am always glad whenever I see him involved in Star Wars again. I feel like the more publicly active actors are Ashley, Sam and James, and rarely do I see or hear Matt, which is a shame because I absolutely love what he did with Anakin, and I want him to be part of the Star Wars family so much. Brilliant video. Also thumbs up for Hondo being there, another one of my absolute favourites. 🙏🙏
I like both old and young Anakin in ROTJ. I don't really care that much honestly as I really love the character (thank you Dave Filoni) :3 Also about the hair thing, when I was a kid it took me some time to understand the force ghost is actually the same guy as the one in the suit.
The reason for Anakin being young as a ghost is that "turned jedi would come back as before they were turned to the darkside when they died" according to George Lucas, but I like to think that it is a projection of how they perceive their physical beings. Obi-wan and Yoda are going to project themselves as being old because that's how they see themselves. They've grown up and seen their physical appearance change gradually that how they see themselves is how they are seen by everyone else. Anakin though has been stuck in a suit this entire time, and while he has probably seen his own face and how he doesn't look like Anakin all this time since his betrayal, he still perceives himself as someone that is still in his 20s despite being old. He doesn't have a gradual change, he's either in his 20s or in a suit, he doesn't see himself differently, so when he comes back as a ghost, he is then projecting his younger self. That is the only way that I can get past it, but Sebastian Shaw is still my Anakin ghost.
Oh another Star Wars debate, a perfect addition to my Friday! (: And with three of my favorite VO actors? Yes, please! Loving Matt's shirt, by the way! And Jim, blue is always stylish, don't worry, you're fine lol This was an enjoyable debate, I loved it so much! All right, on to the questions! (: As to question #1- To me, it felt kind of right, especially when you watch the entire saga. I know that there are mixed feelings among the fans regarding the prequels but nevertheless they're part of the story and once you put it all together, it feels right to see the young Anakin there at the end of the saga, because to me, Vader being brunt up was a result of him being manipulated by the Emperor and the Dark Side so it feels right to see him as he was before once he has been redeemed and accepted into the Light side of the Force: a young Anikan Skywalker. As to Obi-Wan and Yoda being old as Force Ghosts, in my opinion, these two were on the Light Side from start to finish. Granted they may have made mistakes, but they never strayed from the Light. So they died and became Force Ghosts as they were, while Anakin was shown as he was before he stayed from the Light. And like Matt said, George Lucas had the right to change things if he wanted to. Question #2 - The "NO!!" thing... Hmm, I think I'm neutral on this point. Sure, it was a little dramatic but nothing I can defend against except to say, George Lucas can do what he wants lol And finally Question #3- I think I would start off a Jedi and then probably pull an Ahsoka Tano and ultimately leave once politics begin to rear their heads into the Order and become a smuggler lol Or I'd probably just be neutral Force wielder or something lol Wonderful debate, everyone! I think I'd be a Bounty Hunter because I don't believe I'm "Jedi Material". Not so opposed to being a smuggler, But in the Star Wars Universe, you can hire Bounty Hunters to do anything. I don't have to except their offer. I have more things to do. Steal from power, Bring in or "Cut off" criminals/anyone, etc. I am not tied down to one thing and I play by my own rules.
Do you ever think disney will continue the star wars the clone wars animated series. The disney spin off of it isnt really suited for teenagers-adults.

1) Right. I needed to see Hayden after the emotional rollercoaster the character dragged me over the past 6 movies. That was the Ani I knew and loved.
