Yeah, him and Tony Jay were great. I hate that instead of using these amazing voice actors that really try to create a voice that fits the character, they now instead go for celebrities that don't do nearly as well.
Mainly for animated features is where they get more movie actors to provide voices for characters. This is mainly due to Hollywood stupidly believing that the public won't see a movie unless there are high profiles actors voicing the characters.
Jim is one of the last of an amazing generation of voice actors. Personally, the only guy better at it than Jim, is Mr. Mel Blanc. Mad respect to Frank Welker, Tom Kenny, Billy West, Rob Paulsen, Nancy Cartwright, and Tress MacNeille, but Jim just cannot ever be matched!
When Jeremy Irons couldn't finish Scar's song "Be Prepared" in the Lion King because he threw out his voice, Jim Cummings did an impression of Irons and finished the song. None of us have noticed the difference, he was so spot on I couldn't tell when the voices were switched.
Negaduck and Darkwing are totally distinguishable. Jim Cummings is a legend. Reminds me of how Kevin Conroy's Batman and Bruce Wayne voices are very different as well. 2 great legends.

Jim Cummings is one of my favorite voice actors of my generation. And he's done so much work outside of Disney too (I remember he did quite a bit of work on "Animaniacs.") At least he didn't make the Big Bad Wolf sound TOO much like Pete (even though both characters always had the same voice actor since the 1930s.)

Jim Cummings is an excellent successor of Sterling Holloway. Some of the characters he voices were originally done by Sterling Holloway and he does an excellent job mimicking that actor.

Amazing that he can still flawlessly do the voices from Disney Afternoon characters 30 years ago.
Cummings isn't only a Disney legend, as he has also appeared in stuff made by Warner Bros and Nickelodeon.
This shows the big difference between Pooh and Tigger. Tigger likes to go dangerous, whereas Pooh isn't so sure about it yet.

If he ever retires, I know a great substitute, the Brilliant Brian Hull! Honestly, listen to his Pooh and Tigger. They're practically perfect. 😍👌
