- This seemed the ideal song to upload on Valentine's Day! I first heard it on The Beatles 1964 "Beatles for Sale" album and loved it - especially the guitar work. It was only later that I heard Buddy Holly's 1957 original - proof of what a force for inovation he was.

One learns something new everyday. I am well aware of the Buddy Holly version. His records had something of a revival in the early 80's and I wore out his greatest hits collections. I'm 70 and suppose I should have known the Beatles covered the Buddy Holly song but I did not know this.

Hey thanks. It's just me on the performance, multi tracked for vocals and guitar. The optical illusion of me playing guitar right handed (wearing glasses) is achieved by flipping the original image using the editing software (just to add more variation to the video). Basically I play guitar left handed 😀

Albert, I can assure you that I’m singing all the vocal parts and playing every instrument on the track apart from using a drum patch. I recorded the whole thing on the Garageband platform. To claim otherwise and use someone else’s performance is in fact an infringement of copyright and UA-cam is very strict on such things. Hope that helps!
