  • (PART 1 of 5) - If you want to convert your garage to a workshop, a craft area, or living space, you need a way to keep out the flying insects and bugs! Here's how I got help with installing these metal-framed DIY garage door screens. You'll need about 1 day to install this, and a few tools and materials which you can find below in the blog post links. A big thanks to my friend, Michael Rose, from Maryland Screens for sponsoring this tutorial.
To order from Maryland Screens (can be installed in 8' x 7' garages up to 16' x 8'. Contact Maryland Screens about larger sizes 18 ' x 8' and custom sizes). Enter THRIFTDIVING90 at checkout for a 10% off discount on orders over $1,000. Must use the discount code by June 15, 2020.

HAHAHA, he doesn't want you to start salivating and then be like, "Nope, sorry, babe, you can't get it." They're not very expensive. I think they start at $899 for a standard sized one like mine, 8' x 7'. But it depends on if you want the privacy screen, pet screen (which is tougher), or regular screen.

These are called Lifestyle screens and cost about $800+ for one screen. If you want to make your own DIY garage door screen for about $80, use my tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/geuAFQCKxZg/v-deo.html

Saw this post recently, "Do not throw out old muffin tins! They keep nuts and bolts sorted and safe when assembling projects!" A chalk pen works well for labeling the tin with the part number.
