    Mormon is a nickname given to the church in part because of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. The main reason for pushing the correct name of the church is to reiterate the fact that we believe in Christ and follow Him. ❤️ Each member is free to act for themselves, the prophet gives suggestions and encouragement but never demands. That is not how the Gospel works. Blessings to all! ❤️

    minor correction: Gordon B. Hinckley wasn't prophet yet when he said that Mormon means "more good" in the 1990 general conference. But as 2nd in line to become prophet he was more senior than Russell M. Nelson was at the time.

    Saint
    The word saint is a translation of a Greek word also rendered “holy,” the fundamental idea being that of consecration or separation for a sacred purpose; but since what was set apart for God must be without blemish, the word came to mean “free from blemish,” whether physical or moral. In the New Testament the saints are all those who by baptism have entered into the Christian covenant (see Acts 9:13, 32, 41; Rom. 1:7; 1 Cor. 1:2; Philip. 1:1; 1 Pet. 1:14-15). See also Holiness.

    I've found that all apostles and prophets are prepared ahead of time. Their character is developed before their called. Think about Peter, Paul, James, John, Moses, etc. You're worried about change from old ways. Some examples tabernacle or temple? Multiple wives or 1? Sacrifice or sacrament? Etc etc. It's all biblical. So what should we return to doing and stop doing that we didn't used to do?

    Hinkley claiming "More Good" is his acceptance of JosephsMyth explaination for the etymology of the word Mormon. For more understanding of "Mormon" type in Mormon Butteryfly and Mormon Jumping Spider. This will get one closer to the True etymology of the word, which must be Indo European and Must have tracable roots and Lo, it is Latin and Greek not an odd "Reformed Egyptian" using German and Egyptian (Mon) and old English "More" or more accurately "Mera" and going back we get to Greek, "moros" --"Great" So, Joes etymology really sucks. If God is offended at which name we use, then everybody is damned, because there are SO MANY names for God, saints, and churches in his name, throughout the world. If he cared that much, we would all 6 billion, have the same answer.
    God doesn't get offended. Satan does. Satan leads most/all of the churches in the world. There's a scripture that says so, in the New testament. Haven't been able to find it recently. 'Satan stands over the Earth with a chain. He rules over all the churches.' KJV
    I'm a pimo/exmo. What's right is wrong and what's wrong is right. People usually don't know if they're on the wrong side of the struggle... Until 20/20 vision, in retrospect. You can't see it, until you see it, and then you can't unsee it. I was on the wrong side of the struggle for love and peace, (aka via cult religion), but brainwashed into believing it was the right side, on behalf of love and peace. And everything else was Satan. But cults require conformity and God made diversity. Cults love people conditionally. God loves people unconditionally. It's a loosing battle to try to make everyone conform.
    Oh, the irony... To believe in the "only true" church of God, only to discover Satan rules it.

    I just found your channel. I see you're bringing light to false teachings of Mormanism. I believe the shirt you're wearing is advertising "the chosen" show. I wouldn't recommend this show. It is being influenced by Mormons and catholics. This show is influencing people to believe in the chosen Jesus, not the Biblical Jesus. If I'm wrong on the meaning of your shirt I apologize. ✝️📖🙏🤍

    • @EvidenceMinistries
      @EvidenceMinistries  2 роки тому

      Yes, the shirt is advertising "The Chosen." I wore it purposefully. I know that Dallas has Mormons and Catholics working for him, but they have nothing to do with the content. I disagree that the show influences people to believe in the "Chosen Jesus." If anything, it helps people better understand the human nature of Jesus. While not perfect, I believe the show is a benefit to Christians and unbelievers alike, and not an object over which to stumble.

      Everyone knows the athletes and movie stars are compromised and sell their souls to get into the positions they're in. Including the producers. I have had an athlete and a movie star/model tell me firsthand this is true.
